Cool, you just named like 6+ grand worth of stuff, missed all the small stuff. And some of the stuff you listed doesn't even work with the zx2 .....good luck

I'd like to know what you are reffering to here

oil squirters , assuming you plan to go svt or cgi block. Stock block doesn't have provisions, it can be done... but it is not as easy as it sounds.

Stock cams dont work with the FR head.

str fuel rail doesn't work with the zx2 intake mani , although I read lower and your considering a custom intake mani.

Your still missing several things:
-what kind of top ring on the pistons are you gonna run
-type of head gasket
- all this power with a stock oil pump?

2.5 IC piping is to large for that turbo , the outlet is only 2 inches, I suggest 2.25 .. or you'll lose alot of low end and top end.

Things tend to add up, you'll find out most of these things first hand in the process of this build.

haha I just found out about the cam thing today... I will end up going with Crower Stage 2 cams most likely...

as far as the head gasket... none other than a cometic one...

top rings I'm completely unsure of still...

and yes stock oil pump... you see, It's not a huge turbo... no reason to rev past 7K... and the stock oil pump is good to 7.5K... so no worries there...

As far as IC piping... I'll hede your advice... that's why I posted, to get more knowledgable people to speak up and help me out... I have many decisions still to make... thanks for your advice :)

As far as the STR fuel rail goes... I will eventually use it and have a custom intake manifold, but for starters I will be using stock of both at maybe 8 psi on stock block...

I have realized that this stuff does add up fast and at this point I can only afford to build the motor and have everything ready to go by the time I have to save up for my fall semester of school.... or buy the rest of my turbo stuff and boost at 6-8psi and then when next year rolls around and I get my tax return I will be able to build the block...

Option B still lets me boost :) so I think I'll buy my turbo stuff and boost low then build my block and get cams next year with my tax return.... hopefully I'll have enough $$$ to be turboed by August....

Has anyone used oil squirters on a zetec block... I went to focuspower and saw them On a CGI block... they have almost a nice little flat area they installed them on... I don't have that on my block... I'm sure they machined it to be that way... I don't want to ruin my block... SO if anyone has advice on how to do it or can point me to someone who has it would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks
-Mark

I have them on my block, but its a CGI. You can get a focus svt block which has them also. There is one for sale in the for sale section for 350.00 I believe it is a complete short block ... if so that is a pretty decent price. The block alone goes for 300-550 on FF. I've never seen it done to a stock block, but being the casting is very simular.. it could be done but extremely hard without a complete machine shop in your backyard.

I have them too, but like inis, I'm running CGI. If you could find that svt block fo rthat cheap, it would save you a lot of time and money to go that route, IMO. Don't the SVT blocks come with oil squirters standard? I'm not sure. The rest of your list looks pretty good. I have a list similar to that as far as listing everything out and marking off stuff as I go. It will definitely add up quick.

Why do you wanna run 12's on street tires? Seems kinda dumb to spend more money making more power to make up for your lack of traction

Well, I'm just saying what I want to be at on the street. I don't want to spend the $$$ on slicks, eventually I might get drag radials but that would be farther down the road... what sounds dumber... having to much power for your tires or having drag radials and not having enough to finish a turbo build?

Plus I have other reasons on holding off on the tires... you might find out in the next few months if stuff works according to plan... I'm not one to boast or brag or count my eggs before they hatch... I have an idea
