what years work best and how much work is involved to make them fit?
seen quite a few on ebay and was just wondering...

if you are lucky and get your hands on axiom mirror covers then all they do is pop on

no. Axiom was a company that made aftermarket parts.
the axiom mirrors were just a fiberglass cover that popped ontop of our oem mirrors

Thanks for the info. I've been wondering about that for a while now and I finally got an answer. Are there any modifications that need to be made for them to fit?

i think they will fit right up but have a small gap. most people just fiberglass the mirror to the stock mounting triangle piece so to say
