my cruise control works for about 5 minutes on the highway then all of a sudden it stops. and it wont go back on for like an hour. even if i trun the car completly off. any ideas?

possibly a relay overheating and tripping... check your fuses and look for shorts. other than that... thats the best I can offer.

Stuck or something shorting in the switch?

I had a cable slippage problem on mine. The cable kept disconnecting from the throttle. Had to fabricate a 'lock' from a plastic fork, cut it to size, and epoxy it to the channel where the peg on the throttle slides into after putting the cable back on.
