i'm in Peoria, IL...2.5-3 hours from STL...but next season i think i'll do some autoX races at Gateway.

also, i'll be in STL a few times this summer enjoying that massive zoo you guys have there (that's free!) and maybe the museum too.

If I could ever get my car or bike working I'd drive out that way from KC to hang out. I drove from here to Iniana to see zx2fast once, just to see his car and see if he could help me with a problem I was having. You never know, I just might show up one day.

i'd be down for an STL meet...with enough advance notice. heck..let me know about what weekend you wanna do it, and there might be an autoX race going on. we had success with an autoX meet in chicago....got a few people hooked!

As far as a date, it all depends on what you guys wanna do? I have a bach party on the 27th, and after that date I dunno my saturday work schedule yet

and sometime in the next couple months im moving across town.

Id assume an afternoon of meet and greet, and then maybe food and booze? and drunken go-karts?

man i dont get out much but i live in a lil town of moscow mills? lol, but would totally want to do a meet none of my freinds take the z serosly lol o well maybe if knew a bunch of peeps that had some cool ones they would have some faith... im down. last time i went on a cruise we went from offallon to fenton on a mustang cruise about 200 of us mustangs just met up some here some there and packed into a lil diner iin fenton ar farmington i cant remember but i do remembeer alot of racing and sweet rides defintly a day to remember. we could take pics and post about it proboly encourage more to do it in nieboring states?

depending on if my tires can last a few more events...and if i get my tranny rebuilt in the next 2 weeks...i might head down to Gateway Int'l Speedway for an AutoX race...if anyone would want to schedule a meet around that and meet up at the track. i'll give free zx2 rides on the track :D

i'll get some dates of events later...but for right now, i'm down for the count. 40 miles after my second transmission swap of the year...i broke the "new" one. i think it was broken when i put it in..i just broke it to the point of catastophic failure :lol:

at 16k miles...ford replaced my tranny with a blown up diff

at 35k miles...ford replaced my tranny with a bent shift fork (tranny was stuck in 3rd)

at 74k miles...i replaced the diff...AAMCO put the tranny back together and left bolts off, and the magnet out

at 85k miles...i replaced the diff again...and with the magnet having been left out, metal shavings were abundant, and i only expected the tranny to last a little while anyway.

a few hundred miles later...selector plate (detent plate) broke...couldn't get it in 2nd, 4th, or R...so i bought a junkyard tranny from a guy for 200 bucks and installed it last tuesday and friday for the race saturday.

40 miles later...it gets itself stuck in 3rd gear.

so only one j/y tranny...and one that's been rebuilt twice :p

october 5th there's an event....but i might not have my transmission done by then...i'm putting it off a week.

october 26th looks promissing. if i do that, it'd be my last event of the year. there's 2 in chicago...11th and 18th...so if i did those then STL, i'd be racing 3 weekends in a row. i don't know if my tires have enough tread for that.

if anything...i can do an event early next spring there, since they start earlier/it's warmer earlier down there than chicago...maybe April sometime. i just don't want to push the car too bad with all the problems i've had lately. i might end up skipping one or both chicago events, even :(

Just throw on a set of JY tires and see how bad you do, you'll probably have a blast. I"m pretty sure you've seen my autox vid where I was driving on junk studded snow tires with manual steering, great time.

i have a question for you guys, i replaced the seals in my tranny last weekend an it still leaks like i did nothing to it. any pointers? plus how hard is it to do a atx to a mtx swap. some one has a car there going to junk an i can get everything off of it. is it something i can do in a weekend?
