So i just recently bought an 02 zx2 mtx, with 70,000 miles on it. I did the keeman mod, and its really ugly and i want to do these uprgrades more profesional. So heres the order i was going to do this in.
1. UDP i think zxtunner had a good price on one??? should i buy from somewhere else?
2. I plan on purchasing either the iceman or the MMI havnt decided yet. I was going to by the UDP first and install that to see how well she runs.
3. Then i have to get rid of that horrible shifter. I saw on zxtunner.com i could find a short shifter for around 50.00? is this a good one to buy???

Thats pretty much all i can afford for now, i would love to change out the exhaust but where im from in the booonies of MA. your getting pulled over regardless who you are if your exhaust isnt quite. could i change it out while still keeping it quite??
You guys have any other 100 to 200 dollar mods i should look into??? for the summer. oh and i will be getting rims their just expensive as hell, and im just waiting to get a set of used ones that i could clean up and look nice.

If you guys give a Sh** i started up a cardomain, so i could record my progress. http://www.cardomain.com/id/FOX_ZX2_02

With a stock engine, a good Keman intake is as good as anything.
So you really don't need the Iceman yet. [BTW, I have an iceman and I love it]
A UDP and belt is always good. The Esslinger is high quality.
Another consideration is a 19mm rear sway bar - you can buy new or get one from an older Escort in a boneyard. This is a tremendous mod for our car - don't quickly overlook it.
With an automatic, a stock small exhaust pipe is pretty well suited [helps low/mid range power]. But you can get all sorts of straight through mufflers for it. $25-$200. This will make it louder, of course, but will reduce a bit of backpressure and if you're lucky, you'll get a great sound.

powders udp and the zxtuner one are as far as i know the same size. this is a great mod.

its a toss up between the mmi and the iceman. me personally i want the mmi but for california purposes i'll prob end up getting the iceman, which if you want to keep the stock airbox, wouldnt see why you wouldnt as it has no problems other than the tiny inlet hole but you kemanized it so you'll be good. its really just preference

spend the extra money for a twm performance short shifter, the zxtuner one is just a b&m knockoff made with cheap material. twm is the best,

as mechtech said the single greatest improvement to the overall feel of the car is the bigger rear swaybar

how bad do u think that zxtuner shifter is? cuz if it will work find and last me id like to save the money but if i should spend the extra 50 bucks i will. ill be ordering the udp by the end of the week hopefully getting the shifter to, i just bought a sub, so i might be pushing my funds a lil. well see. anybody have any ideas how to set up a single 12 inch box in our giant trunx? so when im rippin round corners it will stay still.???

You can find S/R clusters on ebay or here once in a while. Expect to pay a lot of green. You can also find them at j/ys, much cheaper. Hope you don't plan on doing those kind of speeds on the street. Very stupid.
