185/60/15 is stock.
I use 195/55/125. A bit wider and a nice upgrade. Speedometer is almost perfect.

Yes the 185/60/15's are factory.
But a question for the rest, what is the largest tire that keeps aprox. the same diameter. that will not rub on the factory 15x5.5 rims.

compared to stock 23.74 diameter 7.28 wide
205/55/15 are .55% too slow, 23.87 in 8.06 wide
195/55/15 are 1.27% too fast 23.44 in 7.67 wide
what are you concerned about it rubbing, height or width?

Width, I basicly want to put the fattest tire on. And im assuming its the 205/55/15... cuz I dont think 215 will fit on the 5.5 rim. Im not to concerned about .55% off on the size.

if you use spacers 215's fit, .55% off is going to be the closest you get to stock size.

The fattest tire won't help, and may hurt.
Of course looks can be important, and that is enough reason to get them, but for performance there is no need, and you will create problems.

205 is the widest that'll fit. 215's will rub the rear struts.

Yeah I dont want to use spacers, they create stresses in areas that were not designed for it by the engineers. I dont want to screw something up. Welp looks like 205's it is. untill I can get some new rims.

you can always play with the camber using a smaller bolt on the top one between the hub assy and the strut. but really not recommended

I believe 205/55 was used on the S/R. Have them on mine - fit just fine. Checked the speedo against my GPS - was as close as I could read the speedo.
