Well, I want to keep my whole turbo build as safe as I can so I'm taking every percaution... I just realized I can't use my stock cams in my FR head... plus I already have the Crower Stage 2 valve spring.... so I will someday get probably the Crower Stage 2 cams... my question is does anyone know with 9:1 CR what is the maximum lift a cam can have while keeping the engine non interference? I know how to check once I have the cams... but that's kinda useless... cause I don't want them unless they are non interference...

Here are specs on the Crower stage 2 turbo cams...

Advertised Duration
276 Lobe 276
252 Valve 252

Duration @ .050"
228 Lobe 228
222 Valve 222

Gross Lift
.393 / .393

Thanks everyone :)

I take it you swapped out the pistons, so you have a 9:1 compression compared to the 9.6? I would imagine that with the lower compression, you wouldn't have to worry so much about valves smashing into the piston, but I don't know.

Stock c/r and .400" lift is non interference. Do the math from there.

Thanks a lot Vit... that's all I needed to know

Cause my cams will be .393 lift and I'll have 9:1 CR instead of 9.6:1.... so I'll def. be fine... YAY!!!!

running the same cam and CR .. you won't have an issue.
