stopped working out of the blue 3 days ago. It's a factory one. I really miss it, haha. Any help would be appreciated.

check your battery on your remote. If that doesn't fix the problem, check fuses

And if that doesn't do it, it's really not a big deal to add an aftermarket keyless entry system, as long as your actual power locks are still working.

If the battery and fuses are OK, try reprogramming it before just replacing it.

I replaced the battery this evening and no dice. I'll check the fuse out on monday.

You hasta re-program teh new remoteszors. Key in ignition back-and-forth off-on-8 times, stopping the key in on position.;)

that is only for the late 98s and later. The early 98s have to cycle 5 times stopping on the "on" position.

Mine's a MTA7. I thought it was early 98. Watevr!:eyes:

the early 98s use a different remote than the common one used on later ZX2s

Alright, I did it 8 times and the locks clicked, which i'm assuming means it reset. Still no workie. I'll have to mess with it some more after the weekend. Thanks for all the help.

Got it working finally. When it was in "programming" mode after the 8 key turns I wasn't pressing a button on the remote to get it programmed.
