so yesterday was my birthday and to show how much my mom appreciated it, she backed into my car when leaving for work. the dent isnt that bad, its on the passenger rear quarter pannel right before the wheel well. the dent is about 3 or 4 inches in length and covers part of the lip of the wheel well. i went to the body shop today and they said it would be about a $350 fix with everything from grinding to pulling the dent out, filling, and repainting. is there any way that anyone knows to pop it out and not have to repaint?
thanks,
Matt

I would say go to a dentless repair guy. As long as your paint isnt chipped, and you dont have any creases in the dent. They are ALOT cheaper.

Ok, the PDR guy might be able to get it out. But what people don't realize is you see where he tapped the metal with his tool. Little bumps all over the spot. Now for that estimate, it's really cheap. They are gonna blend the clear off in the sail panel and 5yrs down the road you'll see the blend. The only way any paint company will warranty a job is if you don't blend the clear. This means for a ZX2 paint both quarters and roof. Which is materials alone is $350 at least. I picture would be nice. The PDR guy can't get creases out or make body lines. If the body line is hit you need to fix it the other way.
So if you can live with seeing where they blended off the clear go for it. But trust me, as a painter, you will see where they stopped the clear blend.
