dont use bondo it will crack and suck into your car, your best bet is to get a plastic epoxy and sand the area, you can tape the back side so it is smooth,, fill , let dry , sand flat, and paint..

Put a rubber grommet in it with a plug in the hole. They even make solid grommets. You can find them at hardware stores.

Using a grommet allows it to be removed if you sell it and the buyer has a 98 / seperate IAT sensor.

You will never get the texture look to the patched area if you do what TSmiley98 said which will mean you will have to sand the entire intake down before paint if you are going for looks.

Just get a damn grommet from a hardware store. LOL

It will be cheap as hell and wont require you to clean and sand and put in any epoxy and then sand, sand, and sand. Then clean, then adhesive promoter, paint, clear, and sand/buff.

LOL

P.S. 600 grit will take you forever to knock down that texture coating. You are going to need to start at least 400, if not something with dry paper in the 300 range. Just dont press down hard with the coarser stuff and you wont have to worry about gouging into the lower plastic.

I'm for plugging the hole with rubber. It is cheap, easy, and reversible.
Get something that won't suck in - something that has a lip and locks.

Could aways extend the IAT sensor's wire. 2 wire nuts and a pair of scissors.

I would use JB Quick Weld to fill that hole. It's $5 bucks at Walmart, HomeDepot, Tractor Supply, ect.

grommet... The grommet from the stock airbox hold down works if you dont have a solid. Then place a plug in it like yellow said.

Wire nuts = lame. You gotta solder it... and if you don't do it right it will effect the resistance which = screwed up readings.

Duct tape.

I agree with those who recommended a rubber plug of some type and some adhesive.

Just make sure it has with a lip on the outside to hold it on the outside, or if it's shaped like a cork and can't be sucked inside.

you should just redo the whole thing and paint it. :]

thats ok the reason i dont want a gromment and the reason i moved it was bc it was right over the coil pack and i didnt want it touching it, so it barely reached,

also its on the bottom so i think plastic epoxy just might work fine until i get to sand and repaint

and as for you corbey, yes this is what your perfectly good iceman came to lol
