ZX2guy19

Simple question, and please don't start this into a religious thread. It is simply a matter of yes or no, because we all have our reasoning for what we believe. So, with that being said; Do you believe in God?

This is a public poll zomg

Not sure.. but I don't knock people for their beliefs. It doesn't bother me if people talk about god, pray or do any of that other stuff.

I agree with you 100%. Put "no" since "God" here is referring to the Christian God... I believe in a God- but not the Christian or Jewish or Muslim concept of "God".

I just refuse to believe in something on blind faith with no real proof. To add to that, every year science comes up with a solution to the "miracles" that took place in the bible. If you ask me the story is falling apart.

I don't push my thoughts onto other people, nor do I think differently of people who do believe on faith.

I was saying I don't think differently because I don't care about if someone believes in god. It's definitely not a talking point when I hang out with people.

There are a couple meanings for it depending on you intent... I didn't even bother to read who believed and who didn't, had I took the time to read it I wouldn't have posted that.:poke:

God is a touchy subject for me. Also a Complex one.

Do I believe in a christian god? Not really, No.
Do I believe in a Higher Being? Yes to some extent.

Like I said, lts complex. Not something I care to dive into on the internet. But I voted Not Sure.

I believe in the Christian God. There is to much to the world than just a huge rock that came out of nowhere from nothing that blew up (no idea the reason) and came to make up a universe that such awesome stuff comes out of. Why else could a fat retard like me that drives a Zx2 be engaged to a model =] hahaha jk.......but seriously.

Most of the awesome stuff in the world comes from a persons mind.

Also last time a guy came on here saying his girlfriend was a model, we came to find out she was less than appealing.

We all have are own opinions, god is just a title for a higher being. We all believe in "God" because we all believe that there is a higher being involved in life. Every religion has someone in control. Christians call him God, Hindu's call him Brahman. I'm my opinion there one in the same.

I've recently re-established my position in my spiritual belief. I've started going to Church again. I've always had a strong belief in God, but haven't always displayed my faith. I want to give a better example of the faith I believe, We all know right from wrong. It's a natural knowledge without any credit to why. I believe when you feel the neccessity to do right, it's "The Big Guy Upstairs" who's given you this direction. On the other side of the same coin, there's a battle that each of us battles with Evil, or doing wrong. Ultimately it's a persons choice, but I truly believe that God can use anyone's actions right/wrong to accomplish his design for life, love and happiness.
I don't think that every action that a man makes is guided by a diety, because we all have free will, but some things happen without explanation, and I believe there's a point to give credit where credit is due.

To those who would say science has disproven the Bible or other religious beliefs, I would say that the original sin was partaking of the tree of Knowledge. The more we know about the world and how it works, the farther we get from the truth. Knowledge is not wisdom.

I will pray now.

I'm a Christian myself, but I don't think that God and scientific knowledge are mutually exclusive. I do believe that those who put all their stock in the tangible knowledge produced by science move further away as in your quote, but those grounded in faith are able to use both their faith in God and their knowledge of the world for betterment of it, and all those in it.

im a Christian
i cant see why people dont believe in anything
you believe that there is no one out there that loves you and provides for your every need
i just dont get it
and the scientist you guys come up with theories nothing is proven its more like a guess and that seems like it could fit
im a missionary i have been to brazil, turkey, and ukraine and now im working on driving a ford ambulance to south american to start up a free emt service were it takes a day to drive to the nearest hospital
ive seen God do some amazing things and thats proff enough for me
even just the bible it self spans over 2000 years and is consistent through 3 different languages and over 100 different countries

Lawl, for the bolded statement. So now having integrity is gods work. HAHAHA! Your not alone though, many people use common everyday things as a way to say god exists. You know I have a feeling sometimes when I'm nervous, when I have to go to the bathroom...

God, whatever the actual manifestation of his/her/its reality, does not require the approval nor even the belief of humans. Its no different than a fish smugly ridiculing other fish who profess to believe in Airplanes.

I will give you one of the many reasons why I dont believe in a "GOD". SIDS Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. If there is a "god" how could anyone put their faith in a being that creates a life and then takes it away a few days later. And dont say its to punish him/her for a past life cause it is also punishing the parents and the rest of the family and friends that cared about the child.
Like I said this is just one of the reasons I have never believed in any "Higher Power"

If someone wants to believe in a something thats fine. Just keep it to yourself and dont come to my Frakkin house at 8am wanting to tell me about. Sorry I just hate them pricks.

I guess you also don't believe in Hitler because of the Jewish Holocaust???

This is true. Some people believe all the different religions began around the time of the Tower of Babel. Being that "Man" commisioned a great tower to be built that the top would "reach into heaven" so that they could make a name for themselves. God scattered them among the Earth and fubarred up their language so they could no longer communicate and finish the tower. Thus being God's purpose of "people filling up the Earth".

What else would they have to base their beliefs on? It's a faith based system after all.

I believe there is a god, or some force that helps us to clear the ambiguity of certain things in life, but "God" with a capital "g" is not what I'd describe it as, so...no
