i recently purchased a kenwood kac-9103d amp, and now i need a sub and box (or tube) for it.

900w @ 2 ohms
500w @ 4 ohms
ive looked at a couple subs and i wanted your opinion first before i bought anything.

I am not a kenwood fan.
I do like the eclipse subs.
I would also look at Pioneer and Powerbass

hey my name is Tyler and im new here but i thought you might like my two sense.
Ive been working in a car stereo shop for over two years now so ive seen alot of diffent stuff.
It all depends what you are looking for in your in your system.
First determin what you listen to most (rock, reagae, soca etc.) these all have a tight fast bass line
in this case you want an accurate sub and more than likely 10" in size (one or two thats your choice).
If you listen to (hip-hop, r&b, euro, club etc.) these all have low powerfull rumbling bass
in this cass you would want a larger size sub capable of those low hertz
now as for brands
for loud bass go with stuff like powerbass (Ld,3xL,alphasonik 6 or 8 series, pioneer, eclipse)
for more accurate bass go with kenwoods line (not to loud but very clean sound quality or alpine ( VERY Clean ACCURATE bass and and amazing output)
FYI ive had 1 alpine type R 12" sub in a PrefabBox ( prebuilt) for over a year now with around 400 clean watts going to it and i hit 138-140.2 db on multiple ocasions and its still plays so accurate and clean (distortion free) so now you have a little more info to make your decision with. good luck

oh and try to stay away form the jl, kicker, rockford etc (NOT nocking there quality) but youl end up paying for the name and way more than they are actually worth and not get anything that much better, or better at all
