Does anyone have any experience or input into problems that might arise from a hitch-mount bike rack on a ZX2? I don't want to cut anything, but I'd prefer to use a hitch-mount rather than a roof rack.
What's the word?

Good question. Can't say I've ever seen or heard of a ZX2 with a hitch on it. I was just going to go with one of the trunk mount racks myself (I'd love a roof rack but too costly for me).

The trunk mount ones are not nearly as secure, and I've heard horror stories of them almost falling off or falling off completely.

My mom had a trunk one when I was a kid for trips and such. We took the bikes with all the time and never had any problems. I think it is more that you secure it properly and make sure everything is tight enough.

I agree, but ive also seen a zx2 towing equipment around, so anything is possible with a hitch. I have the Bones Saris trunk rack and it works fine, obviously you just have to tighten it down and be smart about it.

Contact a place that sells trailer hitches. They will give you all the information you need.

I'm not so sure.
They'll probably just want to sell me a hitch, and won't really know whether or not a Thule T2 rack will work with a ZX2.
The problem with the Thule is, it folds up, that's its best feature, but when it does, some people have had problems with the rack not folding up, because it hits the bumper (aka the hitch is too far inboard).
I want to find out how far inboard the Draw-Tite hitch sits.
