New light on the MSP?

we are runnign a MSP LSD in a foerd escort wagon with a GTR swap. gues what axles we are using. Yep ZX2 axles! There aftermarket ones made by ZXTUNER. designed to drop into a stock tranny. I will double check but thats what my buddy is running.
and if you know anyone in the MAZDASPEED parts programs the LSD is like 300-350 bucks.

Thats good to know,but lets hope those axles do fit that would be a quick and easy swap with just a little machining of the msp lsd to fit the vss gear.

I was 100% sure ZXtuner axles don't work with that dif... spline count was different or something.... wth.... maybe he's making other ones to work with them... idk... I sure hope that first post is correct...

$850 for a heavy duty set of axles and a true LSD is definitley worth it

Correct.. unlesss, like I said, He is making another set that we don't know about

his information is incorrect. The axle spline count and diameter is different.

He's running zxtuner axles from the zxtuner tranny for the escort/zx2. NOT replacement zxtuner axles for the escort/zx2.

It is where you know someone that works for a mazda dealer and could get it for you at cost.Thats what it sounds like to me.

Rob does make a set of axles that will work with the MSP LSD, but...... his are the 1 piece rhs axles if I remember correctly. Which in essence would equate to "torque steer here I come"

I'd only worry about it if you had over 250wtq, otherwise no biggie.

People who race Mazdas, or Mazda-powered cars can sign up with Mazdaspeed and get parts at cost. This includes many aftermarket parts, as well as any OE parts. They are also a setup resource. Very nice program.

Remember that Rob of zxtuner had/has his original business as the AXLE KING.
He is a drive axle expert, and can hook you up with what you need.

so the zxtuner trans uses a 28 splined diff instead or 26?

MSP lsd is 28
All 3rd gen escorts are 26 spline

last time i talked to rob he had sold all his axle equipment.. im sure he still knows where to get em made though
