As everyone may have found out I got a new zx2. It had some problems and wouldn't idle on its own when I got it for 1800 bucks. It had oil in the spark plug wells, some kind of weird spacer on the tb to keep it running. All is well now, I cleaned up the spark plug wells replaced the spark plugs, wires, and coil pack. Changed the valve cover gasket and then it would idle on its own wasn't a good idle at all would spike up to 3k and then slowly come down. After about of week banging my head around trying to find this whistling sound that I knew for sure was a vacuum leak, I found it. My PCV valve hose was practically broken in half right where it meets the bottom of the intake manifold. I replaced the PCV valve hose and put on Powderz udp yesterday. She is now idling perfectly WOOT!!
Haha i love your message in your profile about vit.

After much deliberation I have decided this car will not remain stock. However, I'm not gonna throw a lot of money at it until I get a more secure foot hold. Other things are obviously more important. So the plans:
Yep, the dual side exhaust will be going back on. However, I will have black tips similar to the rectangle ones that you might have seen on mid 90's z28 camaro's.
WW body kit with cut out for the tips
Rims: I want something that will accent the muscle car look that I am going for. Obviously not mags or anything, something a little mustangish perhaps some 5 spokes of some sort.
Basically I want the car to look like zxtwo's but with the side exhaust to really set it apart.
Performance mods: Normal bolt ons. I would love to have another JBA but I doubt I will be able to find one.
Obviously the body stuff will be the most expensive WW, invader hood, rims. So that will take some time.

That darn PCV hose is poop. I hope you replaced it with like a fuel line hosing. I killed 2 of them with the 2 and half years of having my ZX2.

No I got a factory replacement. Though I was looking around for a rig type setup if I needed to do something like that. It seems to help intake from getting that blow back you can use the fuel line like you said and put a clean gas filter in line to clean out the air. That would be pretty cool imo. Yes that PCV valve hose is poop. I was just hoping not to break one of the ends when I was putting it back in.

I recommend Cooper Cobra tires with white letters, especially of you're going for a muscle look.
I have them on my Z, they look GREAT, perform great and I got 80K out of the first set and could've run them longer but I wanted new tread for that winter.
They're about $75-80 each, so good price too.
I have some photos in...ahhh...nevermind, they're lost. :(

Hey for an even more muscle car look I can pull out the PCV valve hose from the bottom of the intake manifold for a jacked up idle.
