well i was comeing home from my dads house and this civic pulled up and it was a kid from school and i sad hey he just look and reved his engine and i can hear the blow off valve and so when the light turned green we went.
he was kicking my ass till he messed up and went to 5 and not 3 lol then i flew right by him and won but and the next light he said that he just got a short shift and is not used to it and wanted to race again i said no because i knew he would kick my ass and plus there was a cop

I have a friend with a turbo civic pushing 20 psi, my brother has a 79 El Camino and it has an 89 corvette engine in it. He still can't take Jimmy's civic... I can't touch either of them..

The very last time I raced a car before I sold the ZX2 was against a turbo Civic. The guy had a Civic SI that he tranplanted a Integra motor into. It was a 9.1:1 145hp motor, I can't remember which motor, but he used this one so he could run boost without having to lower the compression ratio. Anyways, he was only running 6 or 7 PSI with the BOV installed. So, his car was roughly 200hp at the crank, maybe 175fwhp. My ZX2 was NA and approximately 165hp at the crank, maybe 145fwhp. I had him easily in 1st and through 2nd, but in 3rd I couldn't pull anymore. If we kept racing he probably could have caught me in 4th and passed me in 5th. It just felt good beating another Civic, especially a turbo Civic in my little Escort.
