MMI Intake!?!?!?!?!

So i ordered an MMI intake and got it today. I ordered the Short Ram($152). But whrn i got it i though it was missing a part so i found a picture of another MMI intake and the part i thought was missing was on his. I talk to the guy who made it and he said i ordered the warm air intake. I havent herd of a warm air, what i thought i was getting was a replacement for the stock but better designed and bigger(its 3") but in this is what i got. And in the second picture is an installed one on someones car and thats what I thought i was getting. Oh and im aware the breather filter is missing in the first pic. My question is what i got a warm air intake? I thought a cold air intake was one that went down bye your bumper. So i ordered the regurlar short ram. If this is a warm air intake than is the stock intake a Cold Air intake? Please help. And in no way am i bashing the man who made these.

You're not missing anything.. short ram = warm air intake and the piece you think you're missing is your MAF..

the piece you say is missing is the maf you have one i promise he just has it on there with a maf adapter u have everything there you need.piece it togeter starting at the 90* ekbow followed by a 45 then coupler maf adapter then maf then coupler then next 45 then air filter.

yes.everyone does no matter the intake unless they upgrade mafs which requires tuning

The stock intake is a cold air intake..it draws air from the fender.

you know this is actually a mistake i also made? i think we should put this out to more people just in case they are newbs like us:razz:
