i didn't get my stimulus check :(

well...a few guys on a local forum have confirmed that at my bank, the deposits have been made. i still haven't gotten mine yet...and today is my day. wtf is goin on? i e-filed mid february, and got my tax return just before april.

i did get an email the other day from turbotax, though, saying i needed to send in some form just authorizing direct deposit...i got the email and said "WTF, i already got direct deposit"...but signed the form it had me print out and sent it in yesterday. does this mean i don't get it, because of some stupid turbotax thing they JUST sent me? thats' kind of ignorant. guess i'll be going a week without pay in the most expensive place in the country and toughing it out. my saving's isn't ready for a hit like this. :redface:

How carefully did you read what you signed and sent back ??

I hope you kept a copy of the form. Make sure this wasn't a scam where someone was phishing your account and had you sign a form re-directing the rebate and also perhaps giving them access to you accounts.

There have been discussions about how scammers were going to try to trick people. My suggestion is to make sure everything is on the up and up.

I did my Federal via TurboTax, but missed State and Local.

If you go to the IRS site...they will give you some reasons as to why you didn't get one....

I did my taxes RIGHT away and had it mid Feb. I also did direct deposit, but we called the IRS and was told, I wont recieve a PAPER check till June 6th, is when they will send it out. I was also going WTF cuz I had direct deposit and it should have been deposited last friday

If you're expecting something the government touches to go right with no issues, think again. I wouldn't be surprised if half the direct deposit people don't get direct deposit.

I put my taxes in on Feb 1. I'm also in the middle numbers indicating next week for mine. Its free money (that we will be taxed on heheh) so who cares.

Thats incorrect. This isn't income, this is a rebate of taxes already paid, so it shouldn't be counted towards your income for next year. (at least thats how I recall this being explained on the old site)

Yep, the stimulus payments are not counted towards earned income and do not positively or negatively affect any government tax regulated programs.

You still may get it. Wires can be done at almost any time, and most banks will accept them for same day until 5pm. I filed through TurboTax Online and used direct deposit, so we'll see what happens with mine as well.

I did the same thing... I'm not due to get mine until the 12th on the new accelerated schedule, or the 16th on the old one. We'll see.

I double checked it (going off what the morning show on the radio told me... LIES!!!) and you guys are correct, no taxes on it.

They did mention on the site i was checking out that its based of your 2007 taxes but its for a tax cut happening in '08. So some people may end up getting a little more cut off of their '08 taxes, but no one will have to pay back.

Up to 600 per individual.

There must have been some calculation that didn't get you the full amt. At the back of my turbo-tax, our estimated rebate was the full 1200... so I'm hopefull lol

lol, i think i actuall got mine right around 1030. I checked a couple times tonight and around 11 when i check again it was there
