Took my car out to the local track a couple days ago. I wanted to try out this new app i downloaded onto my iPhone called Dynolicous. These are a few of the figures it threw me:
0-60: 9.44 sec
0-90: 16.64 sec
60': 4.28 sec @ 25.3 mph
1/8 mi.: 12.09 sec @ 70 mph
1/4 mi.: 17.51 sec @ 93.03 mph
max speed: 93.8 mph
max acc.: 0.53 G's
Peak Hp: 162 hp
I know i kinda hesitated at the line when taking off, I have the k&n cold air intake, recent tune-up with new filter, plugs, wires, tires, ect. running off 87 octane pump gas. car weighs about 2950 lbs with me sitting inside. Had a little bit of junk inside but nothing that weighed more than 10 lbs (just some papers, shoes, a coat, and a box with a first aid kit, towels, and some kinling in it).
IPhone was mounted on the right air vent next to the steering wheel using a universal mounting harness.
Just want some feedback on these figures, thanks. I'm going back as soon as i find some cash and clean up my car a little.

Everything seems right except the the hp rating.

93 mph in a 17.1 sec 1/4 mile???? that seems strange to me. i know i was in the 80s at a little bit slower than that.

It is accurate within a .010's of a second. I have it. Your weight is off btw. That is why the hp is screwed up. Try again.

Your car doesn't weigh anywheres near 2900 pounds lolz. Try 2650 with you in it, maybe 2700.

what do you say Hunsley? you wanna meet out at smith river tomorrow afternoon? We can do your car as well.
OH Wait! I forgot! I have an S/R computer as well. Maybe that would also contribute to the hp read out.

Having the sr computer has nothing to do with the hp readout. This is all an equation based off acceleration and your weight. Stock SR has 147hp at crank? You are going to have loss over time plus running a 17 second quarter mile in OUR cars isn't equal to what you are getting, IIRC it is judging trying to guess whp as well.

I thought the sr pcm was tuned a little differently though? oh well. tomorrow i'll try to get in a series of runs and a more accurate weight reading.

I'm a bit confused. Was this on the street or was this at a track? If it was at the track, did they give you a timeslip? Or was this just with the iPhone app?
Just looking at your numbers, a couple of things stick out. First and foremost, a 4.28 60-ft is AWFUL. Like, stall your car and restart it awful. That led to the 17-second ET. A 93-mph trap speed is good, though, indicative that you are making some decent power. All of this assumes that your numbers are valid, though.
What mods do you have?

just a cold air intake and an sr pcm. everything else is pretty much stock. yes the 17 sec ET and the 60' are probably because i hesitated at the line a little. its a track where basically anyone can show up at any time but just cant use the tree or clock. I'll get some more runs today and see what happens.

93 mph is too high for those mods. My S/R had a best trap speed of 88.54 with just a UDP, and my '98 pulled in the 86.3x range with just a K&N filter, both of which seem to be representative of what others have run with similar stuff. Does the track ever turn on their timing equipment? It's really the only way to get very accurate numbers across the board. I'm thinking that 17.1 may be very close to what you would have actually gotten on a timeslip, so at least the iPhone had that going for it.
Good luck.

Over 4 seconds for a 60'? I would throw that IPhone away if it told me that. I think I can idle at 7mph for 4 seconds and cross the 60' mark in that time.

This time I changed the weight except the damn scale was busted so I just put in 2500 lbs. and changed the drivetrain loss to 15% instead of 10%. the sheets are in order by time of run as well as the numbers so they should all line up with the graphs. All shifts were roughly around 6500 rpm(redline). weather was cold but clear at about 35 to 40 degrees F. runs were made literally at sea level. Fuel was 87 octane from CFN and 1 carton of STP fuel treatment(great stuff for mileage).
Run 1:
no hesitation this time, when the light turned green i was gone. Launch was at about 4000 rpm had a little tire spin for about a second.
Run 2:
had a little hesitation, launch was at idle this time. about 3 seconds of tire spin.
Run 3:
again, no hesitation, launch was at about 3000 rpm. about 5 seconds of tire spin but seemed to grab better during so.
Run 4: had a little cool off period before this one, had a little hesitation, launch was at about 3500 rpm and almost no tire spin off the line.
