I'll get some pics up when I get back to my dorm Monday night. It isn't that flashy. I really wasn't looking for that though. I used to like having the windowed case but they just got dusty fast and now I have this thick case that is silent, cool running, and best of all has washable air filters over the intake fans to keep its inside clean.

I think this one makes 8. My dad has worked with computers his whole life and I just picked up his hobby. I've built some systems for my friends. They bought the parts and I assembled them. Stuff like that.

Cool. I built mine like 5 years ago then a couple years back built my parents a decent one. I don't know anything about the newest technology though so i'll have to do some research prior to me jumping back into it.

www.tomshardware.com has good benchmarks under charts. CPU charts, GPU charts ect. in which they push diff. components using diff. apps/games. Good site. The hot topic right now is the new 45nm Core 2 Duos that Intel is pushing. They are inexpensive and more efficient. AMD also has a new like of processors called the Phenoms. They are cheap and effective. Score better in benchmarks running applications, but not as well with games.

I don't worry about games but i do have 3D modeling software that i use a lot.

Either way processors are a lot cheaper then they used to be. When my processor is in stock it is only $199.99-$245.00 for a dual core 3.0ghz 45nm...Newest tech not bad.

what kinda programs do you use for 3d modeling? i use 3ds max, it totally rocks my outdated shitty pc (4 years old =/ ).

not a bad price for a computer either, thats always the great thing about building your own, you dont get raped for labor and you can set it up the way you really want it. hopefully this summer i will build a new box.

You can make some decent money doing that. How do you think I make my bills every month lol

Sounds like a decent machine. Good price. Where did you get your parts at?
