As of last night my car is totaled. I was pulling out of Dukes carwash and traffic was stopped, but some asshole decided he wanted to come flying up the center lane. The best part is he didn't have insurance or a liscense so i can't get any kind of insurance money off of him.

did you at least get his plates? was it a hit and run? you can send him to jail if you have any of his info...and your insurance should cover it. your insurance premium will go up even if you were the one hit (at least in IL where you are at very least legally 20% at fault just for being on the road). so you might as well file a claim and get it taken care of. BTW...when my insurance covered my hit and run..i didn't need to pay the deductable.

yeah the police came and there was a report filed. The car is registered in Georgia and the guy driving said its his friends. He also wouldn't give the police a accurate address or phone number, he might be an illegal citizen

the guy was driving a trail blazer to all it did was fuck up his front bumper, grill and headlights. but they impounded his car since it wasn't insured under his name or because he didn't have a liscense.

Dude that sucks so much, but glad you are alright! I hate dirty bastids that do crap like that! and now he prolly wont even suffer any issues besides getting the car outa the impound. But your insurance should cover uninsured motorists. or something along that line.

I would stay away from the contour. My buddy has one, Tons-o-engine codes, ALL the time. And my ATX ZX2 out ran him, and he can drive. They are cool and handle decent, but I would say performance on the ZX2 is ALOT better.

Just remember, his insurance (that he doesn't have) is there to protect HIM, not you. Meaning you should definitely file a law suit. Just because some company won't cover his ass doesn't mean he doesn't owe you for damages.

yeah my dads gonna be fileing the lawsuit on monday. and the csvt is insane its got the 3L engine swap. and a borla exhaust with a K&N cold air intake

csvt had the 3l duratec motor standard,same size that was in the cougar.

CSVT had a high output 2.5 Duratec making 190-195 HP. The hot swap is a 3.0 Duratec bottom end with the CSVT cams and intake and either the CSVT heads or the later and better 3.0 heads....

This is all moot now, though. The hot swap is the newer 3.5 making 260 HP before tuning...

You may have uninsured motorist , or underinsured motorist coverage.
It is almost standard, unless you have some cheapo insurance.
Also ask for 10% more for depreciation - it is available but the slime won't give it to you unless you ask.
I just had a friend hurt and the motorcycle damaged with a hit and run. He was caught, but with no I.D. they had to let him go pretty quick. Back to Mexico - Scott free. This happens frequently. There is not a darn thing you or the police can legally do about it.
