Yea, how do you smoke lights? I want to do the tail lights and the front turn signals, but I really don't know anything about it. Anyone else know?
Thanks

Its pretty easy. Buy VHT nightshade tint. Spray the desired coats depending on how dark you want them to be. Be sure to clear coat after applying your coats of night shade to prevent from the night shade finish from fading.

DO NOT SAND THE LIGHTS. WASTE OF TIME.
Here are mine, 3 coats of shade, 5 coats of gloss clear.
With light hitting it

No, but it does help lol.
Unplug the lights, pull the bulbs out of the housing, and I think it is just two 12mm bolts. Not 100% on that though. It's been a long time.

Do yourself a favor and take them out. There's three bolts on each one, not sure on the size.

So how street legal would it be to paint the headlights as well?
I'm getting my car painted black and I think it would look retarded to have all smoked lights and then two clear headlights...
I know they sell covers for ZX2 headlights so legally, wouldn't that be the same as spraying them?

I wouldnt do that if I were you. As you know the color black absorbs all light from the color spectrum. You would end up seriously dimming your headlights and I doubt youd want that driving dow a twisty back road.
What does the VHT clearcoat can look like. I couldnt find any when I went to the auto parts store?
