Forza contest?

The GT4 thread got me thinking. We are gonna have to base this contest off of honesty because car's can be modded in this game more than GT4. If your dont like to lose then dont "join".

I was thinking we could choose a certain class and everybody pick whatever car they want in that class. Then pick a certain class it can become after mods. Like I said, we gotta base this off honesty. I figure most of us can abide with that. Then choose a certain track. Picture's of your recorded time are going to be your proof. Ill add to this later. Pretty busy now. Feel free to add suggestions of a class, and a track.

I like Road America and Twin Ring Motegi a lot. Also a huge fan of Nurburgring. What you could do is limit the class and PI. Like A class 800PI upto 850PI. I would honestly limit it to the same car and just name a PI range and go from there. The tuning options alone are enough to put the better driver in 1st place even with a significant PI disadvantage.

I normally do not race the original tracks anymore... too repetitive IMO. Road America is cheap IIRC and is one of the better courses in the game. We'll try and organize something this week.

I think everyone picking the same car and the same mods is much better than saying you can choose any car you want with any mods. It doesn't prove anything when someone is driving a Honda and someone else is driving a Ferrari.

You can build cars to meet the same performance index and some cars are still just better. The PI doesn't mean anything when you're trying to figure out who the better driver.

Build a lotus to the same PI as a saleen s7 and see what car wins around the track.

I think a much better way to go about this would be to pick a car of whatever level. Then say you can get it to a certian PI range. IE. Buy the Ford Focus and you can get it between 775-800 PI.

Then let the people choose what mods they think will be worth using for a certian track. So on tracks that don't have a lot of turns you can focus more on performance mods, and on tight tracks, suspension and tires.

I think this would be a good idea. We could even have races against each other to help your times improve before the cut off.
