I'm going to put a set of Sony speakers in my doors they came with wire, and was going to buy the adapters from Crutchfield but 12.99 for a set of 2 don't seem hardly worth it to me when I can just cut off the speaker plug and crimp or soldier speaker wire onto the factory wires, but I need to know which of the two wires is the negative and positive if anyone knows it. Thanks

EDIT: I dnt know where the test light is or I wouldn't be here asking lol.

Ok, I got it, found a place online that had a close idea, it said for the blue and white striped for passenger side as positive with white as negative (I have no white wire) And for driver side it said violet as positive and white as negative and again no white just violet and I forget what the other color was.

you could just use and impendance tester with one wire on a bare metal spot, it will tell you which is negative

well I did eventually find my dads test light and it lit up for both wires and had the same brightness on both wires.

I crimped the front and sounds pretty good but if you could get the rear's for me I'd appreciate it, so when I go to put new speakers in the rear here in a couple days that they sound descent.

FYI, autozone and places like that, have the adapters for like $2.
