About 2 weeks ago i put on new s/r struts, and eibach springs. I cut my bumpstops in half, bought new rear strut tops/bearings due to them being gone. Cleaned the front's up, regreased them etc....

Im getting this pretty nasty clunk sound. I really only hear it on the pass. side rear. It's on the rebound stroke i hear this. I popped the rear deck off, everything looks kosher and is nice and snug.

Do eibachs have different torque spec's? I hope this is it, i used whatever ALLDATA provided me as far as torque specs. Anybody have an idea whats going on??? Thanks in advance.

If making a video might help, ill do so tomorrow.

Do you have a rubber pad around the bottom portion of the spring?

Yes, I cleaned the isolators up. They were in surprisingly good condition. I will check to see if it slipped a little and some spring is touching the perch.

The only thing I can think of is your bearing is shot or a possible misalignment when installing? Take it out and put it in again, maybe it will go away.

The strut tops are brand new. I replaced them as soon as i seen they were bad when i had it on the lift. Im gonna go out side and look. Should "eibach" be right side up? Where its written on the spring i mean?

Well, it's still making noise. It almost sounds if something is loose but everythings torqued down AND installed right. All parts in good shape etc... My rear eibachs didnt need compressed either.. All the springs are sitting perfectly on the isolators. Any help?

If you are able to, have someone ride in the back seat with the rear deck off. Drive down some crappy road and have them carefully watch that strut. I had a similar problem and it ended up that no mater how much I tightend that strut (the main top bolt-same strut as yours) that it would continue to "pop up" just a little. I added a second one of those brass like washers to eliminate the problem. Only then would it stop moving up. Hopefully that helps you fix your issue.

It could very well be in your sway bar set up.
Check out your end links and bushings. Too tight with the endlinks can make knocks because the cupped washers then hit against one another.

Nah, I just put a 21mm on the other day. The stock setup was fine and this one also.

You just put a 21mm bar in, and now you have problems, but you know it's OK?

If you lift your rear end up are you able to physically move the spring up and down loosely?

There are no bearings in the rear strut support.

I put the 21mm on three weeks after i did the suspension/got this clunk. The sway bar brackets, endlinks were in perfect condition. Tightened down right etc. And i did the same thing when i put my 21mm on. It is NOT sway bar related.
