I bought a 1998 ZX2 "Hot" a week ago, and have been working on taking care of the issues. Overall everything is great - engine, transmission and handling are truly surprising. Two questions:

Can someone post a picture of a glove box with whatever mechanism Ford uses for a stop showing? Every one I have seen locally has the door dropping straight down like mine.

Likewise can someone post pictures of the complete splash shield set-up in the front? I want to buy shields, but the parts department and on-line stores are vague about what is needed. (I live in snow/salt areas and lots of road debris. I want to protect that new coolant line and serp belt I just put on. Also, other cars I have had without shields get wet belts in our heavy rains, causing some excitement at times.)

Found that the side tabs are broken off the glove box. Nothing a couple screws and a bracket can't fix.

Splash shields are cheap if you find a junkyard.

thanks - ordered through 1stfordparts.com and the entire set was about $25 - well worth it around here. I have dealt with their sister store 1stvwparts.com and have always been pleased. The dealer wanted about $50 for the parts.

One problem that is becoming important when buying on line is the shipping costs.
Sometimes buying locally saves money.
Not trying to discourage anyone. Just giving a heads up.
