View Full Version : Good Cheap Insurence
Donno about you guys; but i just had a good experiance. I normally HATE getting insurence and buying services of that nature. But this guy made it sooo easy. He got my monthly payments down to 68$ a month, from 150$ a month. With a 100 MPH Speeding Ticket! I'd recommend him anyday and he helped me out a great deal. Explained everything and was professional!

My driving record:
Wreckless driving in school zone = loss of license for 6 months
Also was filed as an accident
Racing on the highways = loss of license for 6 months
I'm 22 now, been clean for a lil over a year. For the Camaro and ZX2 I'm at like $548 for every 6 months. 2 Cars with one being a V8 isn't bad for my track record. I shopped around after the 1st suspension. Being a high risk driver not many would insure or if they did they were expensive. I settled with Progressive. Everytime I get off the phone with them I say, "Man, they are such nice people." Always polite, speak english, and helpful.
Not saying this company is bad, just saying shop around and make phone calls. I called about 10-15 company's when looking and picked progressive.

I shopped around and found unitrin to be the cheapest. Still high, for no collision, its basic insurance for $537/6 months. progressive was extremely high when I called.

Rates depends on a lot of things. Age, driving record, I think the time you've been on your own policy, payment record, credit score, etc..
I may have a bad driving record but my credit score isn't far from perfect, always paid 6months on time, had my own policy since I was 16. Plus it drops in PA when you turn 21 and I think 25. So i have a few years til it drops again.

So far the best insurance I have is at Wolverine Mutual. I'm under a family plan w/ my parents and brother but I'm also a minor so it should drop a lil bit in the next few years again. I pay $50 a month (yes that is full and my parents don't pay partial or anything) so about $300 every 6 months! I love it!

I'm sure the fact your on a family plan is why your payments are so cheap.

Cheaper is not always better with insurance. I hope you don't find out when you need to use it.

Thats great info there budd!!! except you left out they don't insure outside the state of California
Why is this in the "How To's" section of the forum? Why not in the "Newbie", "General", "Killing Time" sections?....

Geico
Actually I got a quote from them, and compared to E-surance....they were SOOO much cheaper.
On an 01 Lexus RS300 E-surance wanted $217 a month, and Geico only wanted $56 a month. That is one hell of a savings.
But yeah this is so, not in the right section.

Geico was $200 more for 6 months for me. Haven't looked around cuz I'm happy with what I have now.

i'v got alfa insurance and mine is only 50 a month it was that on my 95 trans am(v8 ) and my 91 mustang(v8 ) but on my zx2 it was 73 a month crazy huh..ben with em ever since i started driving and i'm 21 now so that also plays a roll..i'v got a 95 in a 65 and a 89 in a 45 on my record too so they do fairly well on the driving record thing and they do pay when something happens unlike some storys i'v heard

Yeah my quote from Geico was atleast $200+ more then what I am paying through Esurance on my Z for full coverage. It comes out to about $80ish a month. Mine might be a bit cheaper because I'm 25, and have a clean driving record. Credit is rebuilding, so it might even be cheaper if I had really good credit. They where the cheapest I found out of the companies I looked at. Sadly I didn't look at AAA, because I just figured with all the extra services you get with them, they would be more expensive. But I may have to look into it.
