I know i've seen this somewhere on here, but can't seem to find it now. Is there a install thread for the short shifters? I'm not sure where to start, and want to get my car ready for autox this weekend. Any advice would be SWEET!!!

1. get the front of the car up on jackstands or rhino ramps
2. take off shifter knob
3. take out center console
4. remove retaining clip from stock shifter
5. get under car and disconnect shifter linkage bolt (may have to remove heatshield)
6. pull out stock shifter
7. grease new shifter and install in reverse order (may want to grease again)
8. if you bought a leather shift boot, install that too
9. throw away rubber boot, keep stock shifter
10. drive car

Thanks that should help! Oh, and by retaining clip, is that the wire spring or the large metal framework?

Spring. What shifter are you installing. It didn't come with instructions?

if you got a twm, you will have to reuse the stock plastic clips. if you got a bm or bm knockoff, you will only need to use the retaining spring.
i was worried about doing it do, you really just need to start taking everything apart and you will understand, it seiorusly takes like 30 min. not hard at all

I got the cheap ebay one for this year, didn't have the money to spend just yet. And no, didn't have instructions. :(

Once you start taking things apart you will figure out what you need to ratain and how it goes back together. I installed my B&M in about 30 minutes.
