on Monday my friend called me saying his other friend wanted to race me in his celica, so i said ok ill race. well we raced on a banded road out in the country where i live at on Wednesday, we lined then up and my friend said go, after takeing off i shifted to 2 gear at 6k rpms and then shift to 3rd at about 6.5k rpms after that i could already see him in my rear view mirror. he said his car wasnt running that good, so he wants a rematch on sunday, so i know im gonna beat him again!!! i hope!!

A properly driven GTS can run about a 15 flat in the 1/4...with the right driver. With your mods it should be a drivers race.

haha i used to have a 1982 celica gt!! it was the shit rear wheel drive!! but i taught my friend how to drive 5 speed on it and he broke it suckd ass haha

a header and a intake thats it, i have nitrous but i didnt use it while i was racing, need to go get it filled this weekend

You should have beat him more than that. You should've been able to put at least 2-3 cars on that car by 80mph, especially with an intake & header.

Smoked at 98 Eclipse this morning, his front bumper was at my rear bumper before 2nd gear, by 3rd he was 2 car lengths behind, nearing 5th he started to catch back up... Ran out of road. Called it my win.

Also have a friend with an Acura. Not sure what year, It's newer. I must say, vtec is pretty nice. Got out ahead in first two gears by about a single car length then after shifting into 3rd.. he caught up fast.. got about 2 car lengths ahead of me before end of road. I know that he can rev rps to 9, where as I only take it to 6 and 1/2...

I think I read that broken english correctly.

Non turbo DSMs are slow, period. They're not even a race for an MTX ZX2 unless the ZX2 driver's a wanker. If your buddy can rev his [most likely] B18 out to 9K, he must have mods you haven't told us about. If your ZX2 only revs to 6500RPM, then either your tach is WAAAAY off, or you haven't tried to hit the rev limiter yet.

meh.. raced a supra on the interstate today.. lost o.0 He was cool about it though. It was a lot of fun.
