anybody running OBX?

so typing OBX is too short for searching and if you type in obx header you get every thread that contains header. so does anybody have the OBX header and how does it compare performance wise to the kamikaze?

I had the 4-2-1 OBX for the ZX2. It looks real nice, but I thought it sounded like crap. I was even running a CAT and resonator. It's a step up from stock exhaust manifold or Pacesetter shorty, but not as good as the Kamikaze. The Kami has a 2.5" collector, the OBX only has a 2". The Hotshot 4-2-1 had a 2.25" collector. If you stricly want a weekend race car; buy the Kami header, 2.5" TruBendz CAT back without CAT or resonator and a Borla exhaust on it. If it's your daily driver, get the armor coated Pacesetter, or the OBX shorty for the Focus and have a muffler shop make you a custom downpipe and weld in a hi-flow CAT. You can get universal MagnaFlow CATs off Ebay for about $50, then all they have to do is put in two O2 sensor bungs.

i'm not all that worried about sound. i will temporarily be catless. i was more interested in performance. obviously it has to flow better than stock. i was going to go with 2.25 trubendz and temporarilly going catless.

Well, if you don't need the CAT and don't mind the nasty rasp that I found so annoying, and you are trying to save money, then go with the OBX. If you need any assistance with the install, let me know and I can give a brief "how to". My memory is still pretty good, can't remember every detail, but I can guide you in the right direction.

rasp i don't mind. i just need better than stock and not so expensive

Well, a standard CAT back (no resonator) is also the cheapest, and if you don't mind rasp, you will love it then.

i got the obx 4-2-1 on mine with trubendz 2.5 with an hi flow cat 14inches resonator and a dual dtm muffler ...no rasp but too loud for me ....deep tone but i need to cut a little in decibel before the police catch me...!! but the obx for the price worth the money and it still shiny after one year on the car.
