It all depends. My home server is smaller than the computer I am on now.
However, the server at the one place I worked was about the size of a dorm fridge.
Depending on the server, what it is used for, and who they go through, size could range.
You could get a desktop sized computer with the proper specs and toss in a 1 terabyte drive. That would give you a good server.
Or if you just wanted your own personal server you could buy an old proliant model on ebay with 2gb sczi drives adding to 10 or so.

Most of the stuff we build is transported one at a time via pallets and crates and get moved by forklifts. they start out as multiple bare pcbs and get completely built up to a finished ready to ship server. They all range in size. Cisco makes tooooooons of different products though. Most of the small stuff and a good amount of the big stuff is build in Mexico and china. Theres only a smidgen of stuff built is in the states. (too expensive). Some of the stuff we build could be worth only pennies, and some of it is the cost of an average house.
