I am going to be purchasing a 2.25 inch SS Borla with resonator kit in early July, I was wondering that since it says "Semi-bolt on" does that mean I will need to wield pipes to fit it under the car? Or can I make due with a ratchet and some sockets and bolt the sucker in?

If wielding is involved does anyone know of any place i can take it?

thanks

There is no welding involved. It's just bolt-on. Good choice BTW. What are you doing for a header?

I have a JBA already installed. Thanks for the fast reply.

It will be a LOT easier to cut the old parts/bolts off than to remove them.
Sure, they might unscrew, but why waste your time with junk?
Assemble your new exhaust on the car and tighten it only lightly. Put it in place by moving it around and resting it on stands or boxes to get it aligned right. THEN tighten it down hard.

someone know if their suppposed to be a gasket (a kind of donut shaped thing)that goes between the line and the rear part the place you can unbolt over the back axle, i did receive my kit from trubendz but no gasket for this place and for now the 2 parts where metal on metal and that leaking bad. some person told me no gasket for there ...

You're talking about the ball joint looking thingy? There is no gasket, just two U-bolts that compress it together.

Yea I took a look under the car yesterday and it looks like grinding the hangers off with probably the best bet. They seem to be wielded to the exhaust in at least two spots, the Truebendz comes with new hangers right? Otherwise I might have to get some new ones, shouldn't be that big of a deal I have a machinist friend so maybe I could pay him to make me some better fit ones.

Just pull the hangers out of the rubber mounts. The trubendz comes with hangers, if you bought the whole exhaust kit.

Trubendz comes with everything you need to install it. They say semi-bolt-on because the Borla is a bit wider then the factory muffler so it touches the tow-hook in the rear. Just use a BFH to bend that hook out of the way. I thought they had that posted in the description. I think the pictures show it too, at least the one I took for them of the rear of my car should show the hook bent out of the way. So, of all the muffler choices, why did you choose Borla?

they just oversize the piping and on the other side open it more then there a flange loose over the pipe on both sides then i compressed them together with the provide bolts...it's installed but it leaks,,,this making me bad....maybe it's not enough tight. and it doenst leak everytime

Mine doesn't leak. You do have to try getting it centered as you tighten it down. You can't just tighten down one side at a time and not expect to have problems.

I chose Borla because of the deep sound. I liked it the best from all of the other mufflers for our car. Plus my dad's 350 Z has twin Borla Y pipes they sounds pretty good. I know thats a v6 vs my little I4 but they should sounds similar.
