I am planning on buying a ZX2 again in my near future and I am thinking about what to do to make it more fuel efficient and a touch more peppy. Of course I will modify the intake, but what else would increase efficiency?

Intake, UDP, Fidanza flywheel, lightweight wheels, lose the lead foot (if you have one), keep it clean, keep tires inflated properly, get a chip with a fuel economy tune...

you're maximizing flow, what I'm tryin to do with mine. UDP, Intake, Exhaust, tuning helps out also, using a superchip which allowed for beneficial use of premium gas i saw my highway mileage increase from 32 or so mpg to probably in the mid 40's, but I've not been on a roadtrip yet to fully test it and find where I'm at

Mid 40s for MPGs in our cars is outstanding.
Let's just make it an even 50 - probably.
