So Like the title says... I was wondering what is the best suspension for autocross, and then for drag racing. and where to get the parts would be cool...

Mainly my question concerns Springs and Sturts...

But I also am wondering what the best brand/place is to get:

a manual steering rack
tie rods

I know someone used to be on here said someone offered fully adjustable true coilovers... wonder if he is still around...

I know solo did some pretty sick susp work on his, but i don't think they were fully adjustable coilovers. He's actually setting me up with a set that should make my z rail!

How much does he charge and what is his "sick setup"?

If you modify your suspension for autocross, you are in a very tough competitive bracket - stock autocross events are way different.
You gotta narrow this down a bit.

For a stock ZX2, the stock suspension is fine for drag racing. It won't make any difference.

The best suspension for auto cross is not the best suspension for drag racing.

Would tokiko struts and ebaich springs put me in another bracket even though they came stock on the S/R? also if someone put them on a regular ZX2 THEN would it put them in a different bracket?

Depends on what class you run. STS can have suspension changes, stock almost none.

I have a possible suprise.... wont say anything cause I don't know what I'm doing for sure yet... oh, and I probably wont be 350WHP.... my goal is 300WHP... but that's mainly for the track, I will have it lower for DD... probably 250WHP. Don't want any issues...

And yes, my plans are to autox my ZX2. Why not? The turbo is the perfect size for it... not a laggy turbo...

I'll let you know when i get them on what they are. I still haven't seen them. All i know is that with his setup, he took first at least once in the sts class here locally, and yes he did have some stiff competition. Should be getting it soon. He's a buddy of mine, so he gave me a pretty good deal. I'll let you know if he even want to do another one. I know rob from zxtuner.com helped him with some of it.

GC/Coilover sleeves.

Use S/R OE Tokicos and some 300F/200R springs.
Use Koni Mazda MX3 inserts (Red), converted to "Sport" (Yellow) and you can double the spring rates or more.

Add in Cusco front camber plates, and a big RSB and you have a pretty nice setup...

How much does that run $ wise?

With a turbo you will run in one of the modified class's where pretty much any thing goes within the rules. It always helps to get a rule book, eliminates surprises.

Yea, I don't know much about those rules... good to know... didn't even think about the turbo putting me in a bracket where anything really goes... in which case... I won't care about it now... I want to figure out what is the best suspension for $... starting high to low... I know Tokiko struts and ebaich springs are good.... but IDK what's better.

I find that the Eibach/Tokiko SR suspension with a bigger rear bar 19 or 22 works very well.

The Ground Control set-up will make it easier to swap springs and adjust ride height, too.

Eric, do you run front-bias on your springs? We'll have to share set-up info once I get moving on the S/R. BTW, I am "conecrusher" on the SCCA forums. It looks like there are at least a few of us now that might be running FSP next year. Should be fun.

We are at 455/370, and I really think that we need more front spring--will likely have 550s by the next event.
