Sooooo tonight I was fallowing my buddy home. Got pulled over. My insurance car was torn, but still readable. He said it wasn't passable evidence, or some BS like that to show that I had insurance. So I got a $550 ticket that I'll have to take to court and get thrown out. The DMV has that on their records which police can access from their laptops, I've had them do it before because I usually pay my insurance in full so I only get sent one card.

The best part though!!! My buddy, who was right in front of me, has a beat to death '79 F-250 351 with flowmasters, oregon plates, expired tags, and a head light out. Didn't know our escorts drew so much attention =/

When I was back in Nebraska, I got pulled over for expired plates. I had my new insurance card in my car, but I'd spilled soda on it and it was laying on the back seat drying out. When the cop asked me for my proof of insurance, I explained the situation and told him that I'd give it to him if he really wanted it. He refused, gave me a $200 ticket for "no proof of insurance" and told me that he could arrest me and tow my car because I didn't have proof of insurance, even though I did. Fun times.

Did you go to court?

Yeah. I had to go and prove that I had insurance when I got pulled over. I ended up paying like $75 in court fees and that was it. But it was still crap and a waste of my time.

Gay! I hope I don't have to pay any court fees. Well, $75's a lot better than $550 I guess haha.

When i did; I showed my insurence card. They called the company and it was dismissed no court fees.

I got pulled over once in my escort BEFORE i did any mods going 3mph over the speed limit. At the same time a Jaguar went by me going at least 80 in a 55zone. I was a new driver and terrified. Luckily I got a warning.

Lucky! That cop must have been in a really good mood that day!

He was clocking off the side of the road, so he was looking for tickets. He did write me a ticket but all I had to do was go downtown (it was in a SMALL ASS town) and sign something saying I knew what I did was wrong and I'd be good, lol. It's not even on my record.

Deferment is a nice tool ;)

I tossed it last night but only corner was ripped off. I have allstate. The only thing missing from the card was the 2 hands logo and the "A" on allstate.

I got two $421 fines in a row (two months apart) when I had my ZX2 (113 in a 55 and 87 in a 55). None of those tickets are on my record anymore. Safe to say I don't drive faster than 5mph over the speed limit anymore and my record is going to be clean very very soon.

I got clocked at 75 in a 55 w/ no proof of insurance, but he only wrote me for 65 and gave me a warning about my insurance. I only had the expired proof cuz I didn't realize it renewed itself... lol

It amazes me that people complain when they fail to obey traffic laws, get caught, then complain about cops doing their job. Like it or not, it is the drivers responsibility to provide proof of registration, insurance and having a valid driver's license when asked. It isn't the cops fault it wasn't secured in a safe place and was drying on the back seat.

I'm sure this guy in Australia has plenty to complain about after being stopped while hauling a 30 pack of beer home. After all it isn't his fault there weren't enough seat belts in the car to secure all the adults, a child plus the 30 pack of beer in place.
