ive read powder's post about it it not chargin the full 14v. I do really not want to spend more money for a ODP now. I've heard people say, you dont need one. I just want my car to start everytime i turn the key. Is anybody running a powder's w/o a ODP? What's your experience.

Yes. I have powders UDP with no ODP. Been runnin that since last year!! I now have 60k on the car still using the stock battery and everything is fine and dandy. Unless you sit at idle a lot it's not an issue. Most of my driving is freeway so my car is only at idle at a few stoplights here and there.. no biggie.

Unless i go in town or on rt.28 i dont see traffic alot. I should save up for a ODP, well i have the cash. I just need other things like wheel bearings lol. Car's fianlly starting to show it's age. Thanks canuck

I also have the powder udp with no odp. I live 1 mile from work, and battery has shown no signs of problems. Lovin it. The lights dim at night at idle, but no signs of problems.
