View Full Version : VbPlaza. How it works, what it is, ask questions here
Ok. So a lot of you seem confused.
Well. VbPlaza uses a cash system.
With this cash you can buy custom user titles(both yours and other peoples...yes, other peoples titles).
You can buy edits to make your name look like mine, your user title to look like mine. Basically html'd out.
Extra permissions in certain areas.
and my personal favorite is the gifts and purpose ribbons. You can give a range of gifts to others(and yourself) from beer to pizza to viagra to a donut. Ribbons range from cancer to downs to gay and lesbian rights.
You gain points in A LOT of ways. The most points will be gotten by making threads worthy of being stickied, getting rep, winning in the games, etc. Basically, you will gather these points pretty quick.
I am working on getting a sports mod on so people can buy sports icons.:biggun:

Hey Carl, not sure if this matters or not.... but the points per may cause a bit of post wh*ring..... not sure if it will but it might cause a few totally useless threads (ok in the right area I guess)
FYI when posts are deleted, when someone is posting useless crap or spaming, their points are deducted.
Forum activeness is good...posting "hi" 50 times is not.

I'm not sure I understand it's concept...
you can attempt to steal other peoples points.
However, if you fail it takes your points instead.

How does the bank work? Do you put your points in there to spend them? Or is it to save them and not be able spend them?

No, it doesn't successfully steal their points, and you lose the amount you tried to steal.

If you fail...instead of getting the points you tried to steal it gives your points to the person you are trying to steal from. I tested it out this morning. :violin:

To buy some of the stuff, you have to transfer your money to your points. You have to go to the bank, and withdraw the points, then you should be able to purchase.

i dunno about not having enough points...i just tried theiving 100 points...then 6 points..til i ran dry. i failed each time. from other forums i've read on (i googled "how to thief on vbplaza") the success rate is between 20-40%. this means you'll lose money more times than not.

oh...another question. if we buy points...does the money go to this site specifically..or just to the VB people? if it helps out the cost of running this site..i might chip in 10-20 bucks.

so far what i've found...5 pts for a post, 1 pt for rating a thread. a few other forums i found all had different points for stuff...did you get to pick the points scale? some places have a daily "salary" too...and bonus points for the longer you've been on the site.

hm... isnt that thing gonna mess up the site a little bit at some point? like... some ppl having 1 trillion little icons below their name and froot-loops colored pages because of n00bs writing their name in multi-colored ways?

I set the values. I plan to lock down values next week for all the options.
tt. no because it only effects the username in threads. its a harmless program. It used to have a security flaw but that was fixed some revs ago. if it ever effects everything negatively I will uninstall or talk with the creator.
