mine did that the first time it happened. i would do the towel trick and keep it running for weeks, but when i cut it off and turned it back on, it would get the RRoD. It's because the thermal paste on the heatsink, over time it gets brittle and breaks away from the processor/heatsink. towel-tricking it gets it hot enough to melt the paste back on to the processor and heatsink so it works fine. but when you turn it off, the paste cools down and hardens/cracks/breaks away and that keeps it from working. you can fix it yourself for about 10 bucks or you can send it to microsoft for free if you have warranty on it. or you can spend 20 minutes towel tricking it every time you play.

don't, it has a three year warranty now that everyone's having trouble with them. You can get on xbox's website and place a repair order and they will send you a shipping paid box with everything to ship it inside the box.

No you don't just call 18004myxbox sit on hold till you speak with someone!! They will try to get you to run tests (turn off, turn on, unplugg it for so many miniutes ect.) just tell them you have done this already before hand LOL then start the bitching when they tell you, u have to come up with a box to ship it in!!!!

Nope. I bought mine of Craigslist and when i called they said "Sorry sir, but the xbox isn't registered in your name" and I said bullshit, I bought it brand new from Best Buy. They asked me when and I said "Around June July or August" and they said "Oh yes, looks like it was bought in July" and they warranted it, even though I got it for $140 on Craigslist years ago. I'm on my 3rd one.

Just make sure you tell them you are the original owner... Even though my friend won one off of eBay and they still warranted it like through eBay or somthing

The X-clamp fix is easy to do as well. It voids your warranty, but the warranty only covers the RROD anyway... and that will be fixed.

alright I got this on relase night at walmart and I got all the goodies!!!! Golden hammerburst, a 80's style snap braclet, a key chain thing and a bottle opener!!! I have beat the story mode already on normal and am about 3/4 the way finished on insane!!!! The only online I have tried was horde....

The game over all looks bad ass!!! I have notice a couple different annoying glitches!!! They might have rushed it out a little bit!!! Other than my guy glitchin out and getting stuck in the floor, my a button would not work untill I reloaded the last checkpoint.. Couple others can't remember right now....

I am about 3/4 of the way through on Hardcore. The achievements are stackable, and I don't know when I am going to do it on Insane so I went right for Hardcore. Pretty fun.

harcore scared me lol!!! so i started on normal (i think you have to beat it once to unlock insane n e ways)haha......

I have been playing co-op with my friend in insane!! all i can say is be prepaired to die alot LOL

Yep, gotta beat it once to unlock Insane. I just wanted more of a challenge and I knew the achievements were stackable so why not... it's a great game. The sounds and new executions are great. As always, Epic makes another Epic game.

I have only had one glitch the entire time to be honest. I don't want to spoil it, but I will just say I got stuck and couldn't move without killing myself. But it has only happened once the entire time, and I am in the final chapter.

i have done that several times and last night it wouldnt let me take cover or run(n e thing to do with A button)... so i had to load from the last checkpoint..... and it glitched out when fighting that fish.... just stupid glitchs that make you reload from last checkpoint but they will proably fix that with an update soon i hope lol

online sucks fuxin balls. people can use the standby button the entire time in battles. its pissin me off badly i hope they fix it fast. the first one u can only use for 5 secs now they can do hold it the entire time blahhh! only had a glitch in the cave in chapter 3 when driving the damn vehicle, it wouldnt go on had to restart 3 times just so i can go on in story mode and the damn thing got stuck in the ground and on spyder parts after blowing the 3 spyders up

just beat it on insane, boy was it tough on some parts!!!!!!!!!! tip: watch the credits roll all the way to the end!!!!!!! at the end somting happens which never happened when I beat it on normal!!!!!!!!!!
