What part of the dash do you have to trim in order to get a metra kit to fit correctly?

idk man, i'd like to know though.. i couldn't really figure it out on mine and now it sits pretty loose like the hole's too big.. in my old zx2 it actually clicked into place so idk what the deal is on this one..

Well I can't seem to get the damn thing to fit. I'm trying to put it in right now and it's really pissing me off. I ordered it from Crutchfield and it said on the site that some of the dash will have to be trimmed in order to get the kit to fit flush and that it would come with the instructions. Well guess what? No instructions! I have everything else, but no mention of cutting the dash. I've been searching on Yahoo and Google but can't find anything.

Nevermind, I got it to work. It still doesn't seem to fit properly, however. The left side would go in fine but I had to fight with the right side. So, I just bent out the clip more on the right and it seems like it's in now. We'll see tomorrow when I'm driving if it will pop out or not.

sounds just like mine, my clip actually broke after awhile and i sent it back to crutchfiled for a new metra. now this one just kinda chills in the dash, kinda sticks out about 1/2 inch all around. it's not goin anywhere, but knowing someone could easily just jack it isn't very comforting..

Mine gave me a smidge of trouble. I put the removal tools back in, pushed, and it popped into place.
