Hey, just changed my stock S/R suspension for the dropzone/tokico combo and I noticed something I never heard before about the stock s/r suspension.
There are some urethane "inserts" on the rear suspension
anyone knew about that? here are some pics of what I mean.

I have a dial up and am still waiting for your massive pictures.
What do you mean by saying you changed your stock S/R suspension? That is a heck of a lot of work. Why do that for no reason?
S/R's do come with ES urethane buschings (inserts), is that what you mean ??
and is that Rust in the springs ???
wow i need a 42" monitor to see those pics, lol

Those pictires are so big and out of focus, you can't tell/see much of anything.

I never knew s/r's had something like that either. Neat actually. I guess those are the ES "bump stops" you can buy on zxtuner? seems a little excessive bumpstopwise haha.
and is that Rust in the springs ???
Thats just normal wear from the paint/powder chipping off. My stock one's did that also, i just kept peeling the paint off when it'd chip so water coudlent get in and sit in there.

done. and yeah... is that possible that those inserts prevent my suspension to fully drop? Cuz the new springs are Dropzones (1.8 drop) and the car seems to be the same height it was with the stock eibachs

thats not that much of work... and I did that cuz the dropzones are WAY more aggressive. I also installed the 22mm Progress RSB. the car handles like CRAZY now. GoKart Style lol

I dont know. Sounds like a possibility. With the insert gone you'd probally be able to drop a little bit. Or you just have to wait for the springs to settle a little? Pics?

Ill take pics tonight... and I did wait for the springs to settle, its been more than 2 days Its sitting like that and I drove it HARD too... lol
edit: maybe I'll keep them too... if its not affecting the handling... and cops will just ignore me if its not too low...

If it's a little lower than eibachs thats almost like a "perfect drop" in my eyes. Ill await some pics.

All suspension pivot parts containg flexible bushings should be tightened at ride height.
You may have to loosen the bolts and retighten with the weight on the wheels.

Shock sleeve bolt?
My stock s/r suspension didn't have those.

Some came with them, some did not, there were ALOT of S/R part's that were left out of many of the 2000 produced, clutches, shifters, PCM's, bushings..Ect, the only people the ever REALLY knew were the ones that were wise on the entire package. I have had 2 S/R's and the Black one did not, this one did...they also forgot some front end and shifter ES bushings in the Black one, they were in the trunk with the spare.
It was a luck of draw...Damn drunkin night shifts.

I said PIVOT joints. I think that "shock sleeve bolt" is not a pivot point.
My SR did not have a spacer on the bump stop.
