yes both would work with modification, there are not very many direct fit kits out there for our cars..

What kind of modification? i dont have access to welding or pipe bending? Basically i am looking for something that i would be able to bolt up with relative ease.

your best bet then is to buy a used kit that was on a car and functional, or buy a gude kit,, they are the closest to direct fit you will get.. Check out the turbo thread in forced induction and see that NONE are a kit you can buy.. my brother builds a pretty nice kit, look at them..

No....it's not made of brass............

It's yellow zinc plated steel.

That kit is the most overpriced pile of garbage I wish I could say I have ever seen.

You may not be able to weld, but welding shops will often to small jobs for $25-50. You get the piece ready, they weld it up in a few minutes, everyone is happy.

The SPA kit is just plain junk, the other kit is just a terrible starting point, as it is not nearly a complete turbo kit.

The stock focus header works nicely with a 3bolt to t3 adapter (you get the parts together bring to the welding shop), and will run you about $40 bucks for the header. A junkyard Disco Potato Garrett turbo rebuilt will run you about $150, IC piping $125, Intercooler $125. There's that ebay kit, but for $440 not $1000+.

I didn't realize you could buy GT28rs turbos at the junkyard and how exactly will a T25 inlet bolt to a T3 flange?

First link is for not even the same engine as we have even though it would be great if that mani would use ours. The only thing useful out if it would be the turbo, the piping so you can cut it up and reweld, and maybe the fittings and misc shit.

Second link, really can't even be called a turbo kit because all it is is fittings hoses and clamps. Theres no way that stuff is worth even half of what they're looking for.

I agree with the making your own or if you can't, buying a used one that has been on a zx2 already so you know it fits. Just make sure you're not getting ripped or buying a blown turbo or what not before hand.

Sorry, T25*, I don't know where that came from.

If that statement was true I would be one [ridiculously] rich man.

As for the flange thing, it was hypothetical to get the idea across.

Scroll over the extra pics. I thought it was just the fittings and all also until I looked at the other pics on the left.

As others have said, best bet would buy a used setup that has been previously installed and working on a ZX2.

I have to disagree. spa is pretty good on the vw/bmw/focus forums. they are popular in europe and just started selling to the u.s. i did my homework on spa because i was going to mod that kit to fit my car before i lucked into the roush kit. it comes with just about everything you need for a starter kit. the onlything i was going to mod was plumbing/fuel/tunning.anything that comes with a lifetime warrantee i dont consider junk. i have seen this kit on a 300 whp zetec contour.
