Pirates have normally been with their swords their whole lives. Ninjas win because they are silent. If that ninja so much as knocked a twig in his approach the Pirate would know he was there, advantage over, Pirate wins.
Also, Pirates are drunk 95% of the time. And they have the goodwill of the populace. And we have sexy wenches.
We don't know the meaning of stealth, but we don't need it.
Plus, actually being a ninja would suck. And they all have such dreary backgrounds coming from a war with dead parents or something, so want rvenge. Whats a Pirate after?

The animation that is pictured is not a ninja...looks more like a samurai (though historians believe the may have been one in the same).

but...normally I would say ninjas, but although a ninja could seriously kick the ass of a pirate, i think i'd rather be a colonial pirate (or privateer). (Not a medieval pirate like the viking, they were pretty mean guys)

The (caribbean) privateers life is all about booze, looting, plundering (of woman), and general misbehaving. They do what they want, and historically most pirates retired to a settlers life. They were out to commandeer any boat that enter into their (or their clients) waters. Think defense contractor.

what historian is that??? ninja weapons were invented to be stealthy and easily consealable because in feudal japan only samurai were allowed to carry weapons. so what would be the point of having those weapons be if they were samurai bc then they would be allowed to carry them.

oh and dont get me started on a debate about ninja history. i know all. and why is that u say.... bc ninja i am could it be? or possibly jedi? hrmmm. hard to tell sometimes it is.
