carbon fiber hood looks like crap pls help

i jjust got my carbon trunk in from visracing, but my hood is about 5 years old from zxtuner. The hood is faded,oxidized and has mostly no shine to it.

It has been wetsanded with 2000 Grit and pollished and then waxed but it is looking like crap again. what do i do?


Can i wet sand it again?

Someone told me they could clearcoat it for 75 $ witth this fix the problem?
they said they would have to wetsand it before they spray it tho is this possible?

Also ZXTUNEr hoods are gelcoated so i was recommended to use Boat gel coat polish and wax,

i went over some of the hood yesterday and i did notice a diffrence, but it still doesnt shine like my new one and has little to no carbon fiber trasparancy look to it.

Unfortunately it's a common thing with c/f hoods. $75 isn't bad, you may want to give that a try. My hood is the same. Check out this link, I plan to give it a try.
