Well, the puppies will be 13 weeks old tomorrow and they have grown a lot since we got them.
SO, today... I have a story.
My dad got up early today and did some errands and came home and went to bed. He let both the dogs on the bed with him and they slept for around 1.5 hours.
SO, fast forward to tonight. My dad tries to convince my mom to let the dogs sleep with them. They are putting some clothes away and getting ready for bed. She starts to be OK with the idea or whatever and my dad put Blackie on the bed and he just laid down almost instantly. I put Blaze on the bed, he walked around, and then started pissing on the comforter over on the side my mom sleeps on!
My mom pushes Blaze and yells at him, my dad and I start laughing. I took the dogs outside and they both pissed and Blaze pissed probably a good 30 sec.
SO, the dogs are sleeping in their cage tonight! LOL

New pics of the dogs taken the other day. They have gotten around 8" taller on their backs and are both 29 lbs now.
Blackie is a lap dog and likes to lick and nibble some, Blaze will sit / lay on you but he likes to bite more. They can both already run faster than me so I have to listen for any neighbors going back through in their cars and/or keep them on leashes. We will be putting up a cable for a dog-run here soon.
Ignore the smear on the lens... Blackie touched it with his nose and I didnt think he got that close.

Nice dogs!
My wife's dog sleeps with us. He always has to be right in between us unless i put my foot down and make him lay elsewhere. Well, last night i got home from work and he was sleeping in my spot as usual. I move him, jump into bed and put my arm around my wife. He comes and just lays down on top of my head. lol
He's a funny dog cuz he licks everything. So some times i'll come home and my pillow will be all wet from him just sitting there licking it. Friggin wierdo.

So Sweet!! Well, not the pissing on the bed part, lol.
Cossie sleeps with us too. I'm hoping we can teach the new one not to though, because our queen size bed isn't room for the two of us AND two great danes! The cat sleeps with us sometimes too.. and I imagine when Taylor gets older she'll have times when she wants to sleep with us. Maybe we should get a bigger bed....

They are "muts". They are mainly German Shepherds mixed with Husky.
The vets said the mother looks like a Wolf.
They should get to around 80-100 lbs and be around 2' high on their backs. This is basing off online resources, and we had a German Shepherd/Husky mix back years ago along with a Husky / Yellow lab mix.

Seems like almost everybody likes how he looks but likes Blackies personality better LOL.
Blackie is starting to show brown behind his legs and ears.
well, at least they didnt piss AND pop. lol

LOL, their backs are 18" high now. What is puppies?
They've put on 7lbs in 3 weeks (which is when we got them). Their birth date is 1/18/08.
Below is a pic of the puppies the day after we got them. If you look at the camper in the background, they used to just duck their heads to run under the framing. Now they have to almost flat out crawl to fit under it LOL.

I'll probably have them on my bed tonight. I have a queen bed... my parents have a king size. Since its just me in my bed there is plenty of extra room LOL.

They are getting big for the cage we bought. Cage was over $120 and now 3 weeks later its what I consider too small LOL.
I'll see how they do being able to roam around in my room, and if they still dont piss/shit in there, we will let them roam around in the house at night.

Dogs in bed = BAAAAAAAAD idea.
Let them in once, you'll regret it forever.
Plus your bed will stink and you'll have to throw them out to have sex, unless you're some sick freak that wants the dog there.

At least the poop is solid now. 1st 2 nights was green diarrhea. At least solid you can pick up and just clean quick.
We have a steam cleaner that we use to clean up any pee and poo stains LOL.

Yea... bout that!
The neighbors have a dog (not sure what its breed is tho. Kinda like a Rottweiler but skinnier, longer, and more brown).
Anyhow, the 2nd week with the dogs I had the dogs out on 4' leashes. The neighbor had their dog out and our puppies were watching him run around. The youngest kid is 21 and he got ahold of their dog by his choker collar and started to come up as I walked back. About 1/3 way up, his dog started running towards the puppies so fast his head went back to the side and the choker collar came off! Dog full runs up at me and the puppies, starts chasing puppies around me as I'm pushing off the dog. He nudges Blazes rear and Blaze lays over and the neighbors dog is just sniffing the usual and then Blaze just pisses himself all over as he's layin on his back!

Do you know how much your doggies weigh?
Just weighed them... Blaze is 33.5 lbs and Blackie is 33 lbs.
You know, i just took my dog to the vet this past weekend for her rabies shots and whatnot. The vet was SHOCKED at how little my dog is.
I think I said before that she is also a husky and german shepherd mix. Anywho, the vet said that the other 6 dogs from the litter are weighing 35-40 pounds, this is at 18 weeks. My little pooch is at 15. So your dogs are a lot bigger than mine, haha. So I have a miniature german shepherd I guess, haha.
They are an AWESOME breed though, I couldn't ask for a better pooch!!

yellow.. you might look into getting an X-pen if they are still going potty inside. We got ours for our pup at JB Wholesale, it was $100 for the sides and the top, that's for the 42" high one, you wouldn't need one that tall, but open fully it would fit both pups. It can break down flat and also be configured in several different ways. Ours is huge so I have it folded in half, and I'm only using half the top until the puppy grows a bit more.
Here's a link, probably too late, but thought I'd mention it anyway.. in case anyone else is planning on getting a dog soon. :)

We got a pen with a removable plastic bottom tray from Superpetz the 2nd day we had the dogs. Its larger than I thought when I previously mentioned it. I think it was around $120.
They have cut back to almost never going potty inside when its just me here. When my bro/sis come home from school and my mom around the same time, they get excited and run around the house. Same with when my dad gets home. Its important to let them out part way through / the end of messing around because they will just stop what they are doing and go pee.
At lunch today I heard a dog go down the stairs while I was in the kitchen, I looked around the corner and only saw Blackie. Sure enough, get to the top of the stairs and Blaze is finishing shitting. I yelled at him and he pulled his ears back and dropped his tail. He knew he did wrong.
If we let them outside together, unless its late into the night / early morning, they think its play time. I usually let Blaze out 1st and then when I get him back in, let out Blackie.
Oh wow, I feel sorry for you with the trouble you're having potty training them. I hear I got really lucky that it was a breeze with my pooch.
Our trainer says that (during potty training) if you can't watch the dog/s 100% then they need to be in a kennel....I don't know if that would help your situation at all. We don't have a kennel, nor did we lock our dog up anywhere if we couldn't watch her 100%. Just thought I'd share advice from the trainer, lol.
And thanks for posting the links on those Jen. I don't need a pen for her for training or at home, but I don't plan on ever leaving my doggy when we go to visit my family or anything......and my parents are cat people, so I'm thinking I'd need something to put my pooch in, haha. I think we might need to get one in the not too distant future just to try to get her familiar with it.......although I doubt we'll get up north until Christmas, or later.

Thats the EXACT same problem I am having with my dog. She's great, no house breaking issues, other than this ONE spot in my house, in my bedroom. And she'll run up there and do it the SECOND she's out of my sight. 99% of the time I have her in my sight. It drives me nuts. And she knows what she's doing is wrong, because if i dont catch her while she's doing it, and it sits in my room for a while, the next time I'll walk into my room, she'll be all happy and cheerful behind me, but the second i walk into my room, she's slinking, tail between her legs, and this before I even see, or smell it. It is SSOOOO frustrating.
I've resorted to using an umbilicial lead with her, basically what i do, is I have her tied to me 24/7, until she goes into the crate for the night, or while I go to work. Hopefully we'll break the habit soon, and she'll be good. (She'll be crated the rest of her life. HORRIBLE separation anxiety).
Anyhow, CUTE dogs. I really want a puppy puppy. We're looking at German shorthaired pointers. And since I am on the east coast, shows are very accessible around here. I plan on CH. whatever I get.
