i dont like the black lip IMO it makes the tire look really really thick and the rim small...

You definitely have the color reversed. Black spokes, polished lip. That's the way it goes, and that's the way that it looks good.
Don't go against the grain man, it makes the wood bad.

As always when it comes to rims, it's ultimately up to the person buying the rims.
That being said. IMO they kinda jump out a bit too much for my taste.
It's like you're looking at this all black car (which is sexy imo), and when you get to the rims it's "Whoooooaaaaa...... holy crap those stand out"

They look unique. Ive never seen those rims on a car before. Kinda the opposite of the black with a polished lip everyones been running.

I like those rims! I always liked the rims with Black lips or with the parts of the lips Black. They look cool spinning and look like part of the rim is missing. Good choice IMO

I was originally going to suggest lowering another half inch, but relooking at the pic it is good that way, It looks kinda like a HotWheels car, you know... almost cartoonish in an appealing way. If we like 'em good choice, if you like 'em great choice. Definitly different.

Be careful with getting the tire cleaner on the tread.
Years ago there was a story about some stupid kid with an Audi who Armor-All'd the tread before a show...took the car out in the rain with traction control turned off (who knows why) and totalled the car because there was zero grip with his "waxed" tires.
:D Idiot.
You only got the edges so it should be fine, but just making sure you know.
