The Texas Mile [Archive]

Anyone heard about this? Its called the Texas Mile, and it takes place in Goliad, TX. Basically its a standing start mile, and see how fast your car can go in 1 mile.

Yeah I'm sure you could. Luckily I have a pretty deserted 1.5 mile road to test on near my house, and I've gone 120+ with pretty basic bolt ons

There is a similar thing in the southeast,Georgia I think, on an airport runway.

haha, if they ever shut down the Ft. Wayne airport (not likely), then there's a perfect runway for this 11,000 feet. We're an alternate landing site for the space shuttle.
