yeah hood mod. we took the hood mounts off and cut the little hood stopper and that made it so it would go back way farther than it did before... and we got pins to go in insted of using the hood holder upper....haha

My friend has a 95 GSX. Seems common to have rust spots on the hood. Your friend has to lose those taillights, get some rims and then lower it. My friend has the tien coilovers. They're easy to install and drop that thing in a stealth position.

haha yeah thats our little mod ive been talking about we cut the hood stopper and made it go back farther than it should and we drilled holes in the hood mount where we can put pins in so it holds it up with a clean look......

it only took us about a half n hour and i think it was worth it?.....

hey this is mike. aka zx2boi99.

i am the owner of the 95 eclipse gs-t.
i traded my 98 4dr blazer for it. i ended up getting rid of the blazer after putting 4g or so into, traded it w/ about $1500 worth of parts to bag it sittin in the back.

so i got the eclipse. it came w/ those wack ass taillights that you all are saying look like ass blah blah. i am either blacking them out or getting stock ones. we will see...

right now i am focused on getting an evo 3 turbo manifold, o2 housing dump pipe, 3" megan racing downpipe and n1 catback exhaust, godspeed fmic and a couple other small things so i can put the evo 3 16g on it. i bought ngk +1 colder plugs, ngk plug wires, new oil dipstick, metalcast red paint to paint the valve cover, etc and i'm goin to need a clutch soon too.
i know i will need fuel mods etc etc to boost higher then 12psi w/ the 16g. i did all my research, wickedz gave me some info/tips.. plus dsmtuners and vfaq are great sites.

the top of the cars clearcoat is gone and the passenger bumper is now scratched due to me hitting some fuckers grind rail that was in the middle of the road and i saw it last minute. so the front bumper is going to either be a 97-99 eclipse or 97 talon. there is no rust on the hood like whoever said it's just scratches/chips/etc from bugs and all that.

the gauges i have are glowshift... boost, air-fuel ratio and volt. tinted series. all in the triple pod. i did not get them from ebay,
i have a gauge cluster pod too w/ autometer es series mech. oil pressure gauge. and soon getting autometer es fuel gauge.. ya fuel i broke my stock one when i put those ebay white face gauges in... cause the car had no interior lights. the guy before burnt out the dimmer switch which is $100+ and no junkyard has 2g's around here. all 1g.

first on my list tho is putting the $500 worth of parts i have outside. all oem pulleys, tensioners, timing belt, balance shaft belt, a few gaskets, etc.. i'm not trying to have to get headwork done.

about getting rims and lowering it. that will come in time. probably the fall for lowering it. rims next spring. i got other important things to do first.

my 2g is a 7bolt 4g63.. everyone knows they get "CrankWalk" well mine does not have that!! and i have my clutch w.e. plugged out so i don't have to push it in to start it. i've done my research.. the only thing my car has normal 4g63's have is ticking lifters, i am going to clean mine and see if it stops, if not i'm getting new ones

it's pretty quick car, i only have it set at 11psi right now and i got about 250lb system in the back lol. but yeah.. 1newzx2 got beat the first time i raced it, then he beat me w/ his 50shot. i have to learn to launch tho cause i can't keep the tires from spinning. either i spin like crazy, get wheel hop shit goin, or i don't spin at first but once the turbo spools i'm spinning. i hate the traction on this thing and it has new tires in the front too... oh well i'll learn lol

oh one last thing: my old zx2 that was rolled over is being resurrected as we speak.

Crankwalk is only used so much, cuz of the damn kids who own these. I have owned 7, yes 7 damn dsms. Never once have I crankwalked. You hear all this and that about it ONLY because of kids who THINK, they can safely throw on huge turbos and shit on the car WITHOUT a tune. This is just basic simple solutions to the "problem". I hate it when I see the word crankwalk. My 95 was pushing a daily 24psi but was on a great tune.

I say great car, but even for the little 16g turbo, get some sort of tune on the stock block. The valves can handle some boost past the stock 13.x psi, but not much more. It's hard to NOT race it or try to do 20 ft burn outs in the driveway. Just take care of it and it will take care of you. I don't care to hear other words from anyone on this site about dsms. I think I have pretty much been through it all and know all the labor cost from front to back. Just hit me back pm if you have any questions, you or mike.

yeah i cleaned the tails w/ some window cleaning solution. then rubbing alcohol. then wet sanded w/ 800 grit for a while. then cleaned them again. then sprayed light ass coats of vht about 6-7 from 15 inches back at least. let each coat dry for like 5 min. i was in the sun like a mofo. i could still see the red shine thru and i was like oh shit it's from the light. but anyways, then i put 3-4 coats of duplicolor truck van and suv w.e. clear coat. i didn't wet sand after that or buff them. i didn't want to do it last nite.

helll ya. lol. and yeah i used 800 to sand before i painted them. i thought that is what you said?? and to use 1500 or 2000 after, which i didn't do. i went and hung out w/ the guy that works at showdown that just got that flat bright green 2dr auto teg, he brought out that 12- sec 1g dsm last nite.. his girl has a gs-t just like mine, they were takin her tails off to tint them and she wouldn't trade w/ me cause they wanted to do it there selves. i was soooooo mad lol. like MINE ARE DONE.. SHIIT.

I'll take some engine bay pics but it's nothing super impressive -- looks pretty stock.
- It's an SS Autochrome FMIC. You can get the whole kit, including hard pipes flanged for a 1G BOV, for about $300 shipped on Ebay.
- Fuel mods are just a 190 pump and Aeromotive FPR and gauge. I haven't decided if I want to go with larger injectors and tuning since I'd like to sell the car.
- You won't need to worry about the radiator at all. The stocker is plenty sufficient.

You don't need to spend a whole bunch of money to turn these cars around. 97+ freshly painted bumper covers are available on Ebay for cheap, along with good condition headlights. There's your conversion right there.

As mentioned, you can get the SSAC FMIC kit for cheap, get a good recirculated BOV to go with it. I picked up my stainless steel Tsudo downpipe and catback off Ebay for dirt cheap, then hacked off the canister muffler for a Magnaflow 3" with the stock Eclipse muffler tips for that stealthy look. As far as the 16G, I hit up turbochargers.com and bought their larger exhaust manifold and turbocharger combo for cheap. To work with the FMIC, I bought a J-pipe from DejonTool. With the fuel mods that I have, I'm running approximately 16 psi with a Hallman MBC. I'm sure I could run higher, but there's no need.

If you haven't already, I would suggest investing in some Prothane motor mount inserts to control the nasty wheel hop and thrash. Also look into a B&M shifter and Symborski shift kit. You'll notice a big difference.

thanks for the info man. just got done doing the timing belt, balance shaft belt, all pulleys, tensioner, serp belts, got rid of the a/c, painted my valve cover which turned out like crap for some reason. but it's 1:30am i'll have to read this shit again and take some notes. hahahaha. but yeah, going to have to tear the car apart tomorrow cause i got some kind of rattle type noise going on. around like 2500rpm+ if i put the clutch in tho it stops. so i gotta recheck everything tomorrow i guess. i should of got rid of the balance shaft shit.. i think it might have to do w/ that? i'll figure it out.. and i'll take a pic of my fucked up valve cover i guess....

but yeah i need motor mounts inserts. the wheel hop is fucking horrible. traction sucks too. i get spanked by everything at the races, mainly cause i spin forever or wheel hop my shit. i needa learn how to launch better + the inserts. ahhhh i need a new job. time is money. thanks for the info... why you want to sell it tho??? and for how much? maybe i can sell mine and get yours :-) lol

what clutch are you running? Im running a ACT 2600 and mine dont hop as bad. I know its not all about the type of clutch, but the driver. Are u still running stock boost?

I didnt end up getting that mirage with the 4g63t in it. I bought a 92 GS 4g63na 5spd for $425. I got that thing up and running great and im running on a completely stock turbo setup. Now my NA motor dont have the oil squirters in it, so Im on lower boost to help prevent denotation. Im currently in process of getting the AC fixed, florida heat sucks LOL

Im picking up a body kit this weekend to for better looks and some fenders. Sun Faded paint looks like ass, so cleaning her up. My stock wrap wing is very loose to so Im trying to fix that tight. Mike I will try to get some pics for ya. Im filtered for MOST sites through work

stock boost is 10-12psi. i think it's 10. but after you add shit it will raise it. mine was boosting 12psi and it has a ghetto 2.5" exhaust. w/ a 3" you would get boost creep to 20psi unless u did shit to get rid of that.
so i got a hallman mbc and turned it up to 14psi. i can go 15.. but sometimes it shoots to 15. at 16 is where fuel cut comes in.
so you are both wrong on that...

but anyways... yes i have an evo 3 16g turbo, full install kit, i got a 34mm flapper i still have to install after i port the shit of the thing. i also have an o2 housing w. wastegate dump. o2 sensor. some other misc. things. 3" megan racing downpipe will be here soon. i also have camaro z28 exhaust tips coming soon for my side exit exhaust i'm doing. i don't want boost creep right now so i'm going to run 2.5" piping straight back until it 90's goes straight but i'm going to exit it out instead of 90 again and blah blah to go out the back. so that is why i have the z28 tips. 2" high, 8" wide.

but....... yeah by next week i'll know if i'm going to sell my car w/ out all them extras for $3500 to this guy on mautofied and then i'm getting a 2005 ????????????.

10-12 is stock. you had a freak tsi. or the things you had done to it raised it.

you know how to find out... hook a vacuum line on the pressure source (nipple on the turbo) and the wastegate and it will go to 10, 11 or 12. cause that is the what the stock is before someone gets there hands on it and does free mods or upgrades things lol.........
you can take this little plastic piece out of the bcs that will make it 12-14
and if you have an intake pipe/filter or both it will make it around there too. + exhaust.. w/ a 3" dp and cat you will get boost creep tho. unless you do some porting.... but i hope the person doesnt run that t2small (t25) w/ 3" exhaust.. no point.

well car ran like 12-13 when I bought it stock. This was before I did anything to it. After my mods I was @29 psi not boost creeping. I had it turned down by a shop because it was a DD that I invested a shit load into.

Right now Im in my gs that I tranfered into a gs-t running 10 psi safely. Its not all the boost in the world, but my eclipse is lighter then yours so maybe it could hang with your 14psi. I would like to come up for a get together maybe after next tax return. This would give you and myself somemore time for our mods lol. I just got my AC working again so im excited and cooled off. Heading down to Orlando tonight to pick up my drift kit. Gonna look silly on stock 16 rims but oh well.

Have you had any issues with your STOCK oil pressure gauge? Mine was working then just slammed to nothing. I hit a bump and it came up a little but went back down. Im just gonna buy a aftermarket one and throw it in the car I guess. Seems to be a common thing for the 1g I guess.

my friend has a 93 talon tsi. they have the better turbo; 14b, better tb, better intake manifold, and i guess you say lighter. plus he has an act 2600 clutch and a 2.5" turbo back exhaust w/ just flex pipe, 1 res, muffler. it's mandrel not shitty bent like me. and i beat him all day lol.

yes, my stock oil pressure gauge is unhooked. i have an autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge that i bought.

and about meeting next year.... i might be getting a 2005 ????? soon so idk. there are 3 i'm looking at. 1 is trade my car plus cash. 1 is keep my car and just buy the damn thing. 1 is sell my car to someone for $3500 w/ out extra and buy the thing.... cause they all are different prices, private or dealer, etc.

but yeah i miss florida. i used to live in wintersprings, winterpark, cassellberry area! off lakehowell and dike road right across from lake howell highschool. i still talk to a few friends from there... sometime this winter me, my gf, sisters, mom, whoever else can go then are going to florida for vacation. so we can get together then.

no I wasnt boost creeping @29 psi LOL. It was turned down by the shop Porters Performance on US131. I will be heading to my gf's moms sometime next weekend. They have just normal internet to where mine is all filtered, so I will get lot of pics up INCLUDING my GS to GS-T swap. Im thinking of doing a AWD conversion cuz my buddy has 2 awd 1g's in his yard for parts cars. I have been hounding off parts off them for a while now hehe. I just went to Sea World and it was great. One my way home I over heated and had head gasket failure causing me to warp my head. YAY DSM'S so mine is chilling in Gainsville Florida right now, and i got a 2008 Colbalt to get me home. Im just going to rebuild my buddys turbo motor at his house and use his awd system. He has all those experiences that I dont know how to do, such as WELDING lol. We desided to keep my dsm clean no kit ect. I took off the stock skirts and door trim and will shave all the lines, ect. I have a painter to paint my car for the price of some beer and hanging out LOL. I guess we are going to start to rebuild his motor this weekend. I already ordered the engine rebuild kit with the better head gasket.

Let me know if you need any dsm parts man. My buddy has a couple parts cars and he also is running a few of them. Oh if your still on stock exhaust, I maybe changing out my setup to a greddy setup, so if you are interested in my Thermal Research exhaust let me know. Its 3" pipe to a 4.5 Tip.

oh after my eclipse broke down, I was chilling at the crackle barrel in front and they had a gas station next to them. I was HOT and tired, so I was out of it. All of a sudden you hear this car start up and it sounded like sex. I then sit up and start to stand. I see a blue R33 and he screamed outta there like a bat outta hell. 3 quick shifts and the bov was crazy loud. He then turned on I-75 heading north. So I got to see my first real skyline in person.

2004 dodge neon srt-4 w/ stage 1 pcm. aem intake. all lights tinted but headlights. powdercoated rims. front bumper middle section cut out ready for me to put a BFMIC in it. prothane motor mounts (yes.. same ones in the 2g nick!! HERE WE GO AGAIN) oh and can't forget 5% tint.. i will never look back since having tint. lol....

once i sell the 2g which i got 225289105 offers on it. i am dumping most of the money into the NEON (wow!!). 3" o2 housing, 3" turboback, all ic pipes, bov, fmic to start...
then rest will go towards loan.
then i'll save for a while and get: fm wastegate actuator, aem uego wideband, fuel return line, walbro 255 pump?, and ???? w/ tuning at pure tuning? (probably wait til next spring to upgrade fuel, turn up boost and get it tuned.. i am going to pay this car off as fast as possible)

did i mention just under 27k miles on it....

i just want 300hp to the wheels and it can easily be done.. w/ less then what i stated up there too. no cheapo ebay parts or knockoffs going on this car. no ricestatic shit. no body kits. no neons. no bump in the trunk. none of the shit that is a waste of money. and less street racing.
