I'm still not ready for auto-x with no battery tie down but I came to watch mike "aka crackin-X" race. He won 1st place in the novice class by the way.

It was rainy and cold all day so I didn't feel like holding my camera. Anyways there was this prelude that almost flipped in the slalom. He was doing really good up until this point, really pushing his car hard, a little to hard on the slalom I guess. I was standing a ways off the course and this was on the opposite side of the course so it was hard to see but I think it was when he was in the middle of the slalom and he started to spin. he counter steered and all of a sudden his left rear tire lifted up a good 18 inches, then he counter steered that and his right rear tire lifted about the same hight. You could tell the kid was scared shitless because he did the rest of the course at a cruising speed. That was his first run of the day and the rest of his runs he did not push his car at all.

Wow... I didn't think that would be possible... I figured a spin out.... maybe he had really mushy suspension... I don't think you could flip an S/R on a flat course even if you tried... I think it'd just spin out

it looked like he had tight suspension, he had very little body roll. I'm not to formilier with suspension anything but especially in the rain you would not expect that. Like you said, a spin out is more expected. He almost wrecked into a curb/tree but thankfully he recovered it in time.
