so im like coming back from columbia sc and its just a bit chilly so i put the heater on my feet and nothing...
all it does is blow out cool air

tried the ac and that works fine....
and right after i tried the ac i tried the heat again
it started to blow heat but quickly cooled down

so im wondering what happened?

anyone know where i gotta start to troubleshoot?
or what the problem might be?

probably air in the coolant lines. mine did that for a while after changing the thermostat until i got it the air out.

Now did it stop blowing, or stop blowing heat?

One thing to check would be the white plug under the dash on the drivers side. First post I ever had on the old board was because of that.

Did the temperature control become disconnected ? This is a common problem when after market systems are installed. Engine temp. OK ?

i dont know if it did or not...

i havent done any mods under the hood yet so....

and it seemed to me that i did notice the engine warmed up alot faster than usual...about half way on the gauge is normal for me

took like 10 min to get there and iirc it takes longer than that for the engine to warm up

idk...

It takes two miles for mine to warm up fully.

Sounds like a stuck open T-stat, but that would take it longer to get hot not sooner.

Like Mech said, check the connections behind the metra plate.

I was having problems with my blower motor (or so I thought) and it turned out to be the connection.

So the gauge reads OK?
Probably the hot/cold rotary dial or what it controls.

With this spring up and down temperatures ,I've noticed a difference in warm up time.
Not that it has anything to do with the heater problem.
