Does she want to do all that? A chip and UDP are the best mods... I got good results from my ATX with those two.

Lol Kyle. Tits or gtfo.
As for mods.. mtx is always best. Be sure to get a tranny cooler if you stay atx.
Udp, header, exhaust, intake, chip. That'll add some snap. If you really want to get into it, a spec 1 or 2 clutch, fidanza flywheel, lightweight rims, ground control coilovers and a 19mm RSB will do you right.

Take it just a step farther...
1. UDP, cold air intake and a cat back exhaust.
2. If your state allows you to remove the cat, long tube header to fatten up midband torque. Otherwise keep the cat and get a (JBA) shorty header to help the top end.
3. transmission cooler to help ATX life.
3. Intake cam gear to advance the intake cam 2-8 degrees (probably 4-6) to lower the HP peak and get modest midband torque gains.
4. SCT tune for the PCM to optimize spark and air-fuel ratio, firm up ATX shifts, fatten up midband torque and optimize power in the 5K to 6K range.
5. 15" or 16" alloy wheels with low profile tires with a smaller diamter than stock to improve acceleration slightly.
6. Hollow 19 mm rear sway bar, rear polyurethane bushings and endlinks and front polyurethane endlinks to tighten handling a bit without getting close to oversteer.
7. Good quality spring et to lower the car 1.0 to 1.8" (max0 to improve handling.
...ignore the horndogs on here. They're not getting any and prove to be an embarrassment fo the rest of us.

Don't mind random, or Chuck. Random is just horny, and whoever is imatating chuck, doesn't grasp that it is doubtful he would ever call anyone G.
The atx is going to be a slug compared to her civic. The atx will always be a slug .
Sounds like you have a good plan. Talk to powder, he is working on another group buy for his pulley. Don't worry about asking too much about it. I will tell you everything you need to know. There is a reason we all got one. Great gains, amazing price.
Get the tranny cooler if you are staying atx. You said it, others have said it. It is better to get it, than to have issues down the road.
Header, exhaust, intake. All good power adders. Won't give you massive gains, but will give it some good pep. A good starting point.
I believe there is also a "shift stage" how to floating around too. That will help you out, until you get some kind of tuning.
Weight reduction also helps. Just remember to keep the car clean. You don't need to go to the extreme like others have.
Welcome to the site, don't mind the idiots and lunatics, research before you ask something, and you should fit in fine.

With an auto trans, you might consider leaving the stock exhaust alone, and just get a free flowing muffler. If you present piping is in good shape, this is a not a bad idea.
Unless you are screaming at full throttle and mid to high RPMs, the smaller stock pipe is best for normal driving with an auto
A UDP is a great idea. Modify the stock intake or get an iceman [remove the lower resonator].
Electronic tuning is great, but expensive . You can't just get a good computer code, you need the SCT tuning. But this will really help power and shift points.
A trans cooler is cheap, and you should install one inline after the stock one in series.
And that 19mm rear sway bar is a must have, as mentioned.
You can dump all sorts of money into the car, but I'm not sure she would get enough benefit for all the $.
These things are very safe and sane. If she want more, costs go way up.

Don't forget the resistor shift mod.

guys i told her to do all of that and i dont think that she liked the amount of monney bieng spent ,becouse she said that it wasnt worth it to do anything to these cars and someone asked why i didnt do that to mine and ,hell no i aint doin anything to a atx comeon ,im doin the mtx swap,i dont know what to do with her i guess she likes the rice canon she was driving i dont know

So she thinks doing things like that to a civic is good but to a zx2 it isnt.Just do all those to your car and prove her wrong.

My advice would cost from $130-$200.

Resistor shift mod
trans cooler
powder UDP
1/2 wat 5.6k ohm resistor in line with the IAT
knocker mod
budget intake
exhaust
Should be enough to make her happy and get some good fuel mileage at the same time.

my advice. swap in an MTX tranny. otherwise, dont waste your money on building an ATX.
ive spent $4.5K on building an N/A ATX. ive got 137whp and 15.9 in the 1/4 mile. thats not including $600 spent on dyno tuning. i should be able to get mid to high 14's after the swap. possibly low 14's after the ford racing IM goes in.
that MTX civic with the b18 is plenty quicker. she may want to do bolt ons once she sees the improvement that the MTX swap gives.

thats what i am doing to my z mtx swap and she says that its a waste of time and monney ,so i told her that she should not try racing people and crashing her pocket car, besides that im doing the mtx swap and the exaust and u p and cold air intake,i told her to do the same but she isnt into doing all of that becouse she thinks that its too expensive ,i told her that i can get all of the parts for the swap for around 200-300 dallers and the mtx has 120,000 km which isnt bad but she doesnt trust me on doing the swap ,i told her that if i do it to my car than why are you worried, i think thats its all of here rice friends that are trying to turn her against the z, i dont think that she knows what this car is capable of.....maybe find a new gf lol

Thats a good setup. It should probably get you low 16.Thats just a guess from things that I have been reading on the forum over the year.
